Scan Time increased from 30 minutes to 8 hours

Since upgrading to 1.50.1, my scan time has increased from about 30 minutes to over 8 hours. What could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Run a quick scan.

Try disabling the heuristics.

[AdvancedSetup]

Please run the following scanner and post back the logs.

Download

DDS

and save it to your desktop

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/dds.scr

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click

dds.scr

to run the tool.

When done, the

DDS.txt

will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

1. DDS.txt
   
   
2. Attach.txt
   
   

• Save both reports to your desktop
  
  
• Please include the following logs in your next reply:
  DDS.txt
  and
  Attach.txt

I created a topic because my Malwarebyte scan time increased from 30 minutes to 8 1/2 hours after getting the latest update of Malwarebytes. An administrator replied and asked that I download and run DDS and to reply and post the results of my scan. When I tried to reply, I got this message:

"Sorry, this topic has been locked". Who would lock it and why?

I'm not sure why the topic was locked, but if you send a personal message to AdvancedSetup, he should take a look at your logs and continue to assist you.
