Hi -

Can you Both list the language settings of your computer (or the country that you are in) -

Also list your Operating system (XP Vista Win7) and your Anti virus or other security programs -

Thank You -

EDIT - Also -

Download and install CCleaner slim if you do not have it yet -

  • CCleaner slim Download
right-click on the downloaded file "ccsetup234_slim.exe" and choose "Run as administrator" and install the application.
  • Keep the default installation folder "C:\Program Files\CCleaner"
  • Click finish when done and close ALL PROGRAMS including your Web Browser
  • Start the CCleaner program.
  • Click on Registry and Uncheck Registry Integrity so that it does not run (basically the very top, uncheck it)
  • Click back to Cleaner and under SYSTEM uncheck the Memory Dumps and Windows Log Files
  • Click on Run Cleaner button on the bottom right side of the program.
  • Click OK to any prompts
Note, this will remove cookies as well so if you do want to keep them then uncheck them before running it.

Hi again -

May I ask why you clicked on the Quarantine Tab - Did you have an infection already ??

Please reinstall the program with this method - Make sure that Your symantec endpoint protection v11 anti virus is disabled while you reinstall -

Windows Vista and Windows 7:

  • Click on the Start button and select Control Panel
  • Click on Programs and Features
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important !
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from Here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Paid version only

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now reset any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications.

You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.

Thank You - ;)

while reinstallation solved the run-time error 6 problem when i click on Quarantine tab, but i still get the same error message when i perform quick/full scan with/without heuristic scan checkbox.

have done uninstallation, reboot, mbam-clean, reboot and reinstallation and yet still failed to do any scan.

any idea how to solve this?
