My client does allow them, but I copy/paste code quite a bit to people. The parenthesis get caught up as smilies way to often, so I've disabled them altogether. Gmail and yahoo icons are awful.Thanks for posting these. I have a few friends who use trillian and pidgin, and so it good to have this as a reference for them (though I hardly use IM programmes now, I must admit).EDIT - having said that, I do like the animated emoticon in Gmail that is a small pile of dung with a few flies buzzing around it.
