Yep you can. That's how I got my copy of Home & student MS Office 2007. I was the lucky third computer (my stepmother owns the original installation disks & she put it on her PC, my Dad's, and mine). However she has since lost the disks, and so if I ever need to reformat my computer I'll either have to buy a new copy, or download Open Office (which I learned here on the forum yesterday will open .doc & .docx!)

Cool! If I get get my friend to split some of the cost with me, I'll buy it (she'll need it for school) and share the other one with my family, I don't think it came with their computer. Edit: She already has it, so I don't think I'll buy it, only because I don't really really need it at this point, so I'll save some money this way, heh.

@catscomputer: my little brain says that you can download the trial ver. of Home & student MS Office 2007 from MS homepage & save it in a CD. So that whenever you need to reformat your system, you can install the trial ver. from the CD & use the key (you are already having) to make it full ver. I did like this.

However she has since lost the disks, and so if I ever need to reformat my computer I'll either have to buy a new copy,
