If you're still using Google Chrome I would highly suggest you consider using Firefox instead. For more advanced users you might consider installing NoScript as well (it does have a higher learning curve though)

 Malwarebytes Browser Guard works great on the new Microsoft Chromium-based Edge as well. It can run any extension in the Chrome store.

In general yes, but at this time it is still in beta and is scheduled to be released in January

Works very well indeed but, one thing I miss is the option to add own filters eg. 'facebook.com###pagelet_growth_expanding_cta' (to block Facebook login/register pop-ups). If that option will be added, I'll replace uBlock Origin by MBG. Or, did I overlooked it?

I think Malwarebytes Browser Guard is a great little program @Max-H and it addresses items that uBlock Origin does not, but their application has much more granular control than we currently do. I don't see any reason why you cannot continue to use both if wanted, I use both of them together on my own system.

Thx for the reply. I tried both the same time, working well, but had the impression that it was a little redundant if addressing the same "threats". Using double resources. As MBG is an addition, I'll give it a try.

Also i can recommend using DuckDuckGo together with uBlockOrigin and Malwarebytes.

It is doing a great job and has his own search instead of google that follows you.

It is blocking all kinds of spyware, checks if the site has an encrypted connection and protects your privacy.
