Program doesn't look right???

If you are having technical issues with our Windows product, please do the following:

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  1. Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  3. Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  4. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  5. You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"
  6. Click the Advanced tab

  7. Click the Gather Logs button

  8. A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer

  9. Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK

  10. Please attach the file in your next reply. Before submitting your reply, be sure to enable "Notify me of replies" like so:

Greetings,

It appears that your DPI settings are set to 96% which is likely what's causing the issue.  Please try changing your DPI settings to 100% to see if that corrects the problem.  You can find instructions on how to do so on this page.

Additionally, I also noticed that you have User Account Control disabled, and while that likely has nothing to do with this issue, it isn't very secure to have it turned off, not to mention the fact that Malwarebytes, along with virtually all modern software has been designed to be fully UAC compatible and compliant meaning having it disabled can cause issues with some programs.  I would highly recommend turning UAC back on, and if you wish to do so you may find instructions on how to do that on this page.

Please let me know how it goes and if the display issue still persists.

I HAVE the same exact issue. My DPI "is" 100% and UAC is set and I have the same poor almost unreadable display in Windows 7 Pro with a high end graphics card... this started several updates back and I've lived with it but it is hard to see and I find others are having the issue. Thanks.

Can you provide the requested logs from post #2 above so we can take a look?

In addition to the mbst-grab-results.zip referenced in post #2, please do the following:

  • Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard at the same time.
  • Type msinfo32 and click OK.
  • A new window will open. Click File followed by Save.
  • Give the file a name, select your desktop as the location and click Save.
  • Compress the image.png.1a6ac3572b0304f6862e8f61357f649e.png .nfo file and attach the generated Zip file here.
