RickyF Posted November 16, 2021 ID:1488587 Share Posted November 16, 2021 Hi @LeeWei, I wonder how are we going to manage the plugin now that the 2FA is going to be mandatory by Malwarebytes starting January 10. Do we have to do any changes to our plugin connection in order get the same data? Thanks Ricky

You will get a pop-up to enter the code. If something does not work, let me know! Lee Wei

The issue here is that the 2FA support is for Nebula Cloud and not for OneView. I have not added 2FA for OneView. I plan to publish a new OneView specific add-in soon, which is based on OAuth 2 authentication. It will not require 2FA, just the API credentials. The new add-in is available if you want to test it, just private message me.
RickyF Posted December 3, 2021 ID:1491122 Share Posted December 3, 2021 Hi @LeeWei I am trying to contact you without success. Please tell me what should I do to export the data using 2fa. My whole business model depends on that extraction. I only have 28 days to resolve this issue! I can't wait any further because my company is at stake. ArjunM Posted December 15, 2021 ID:1493075 Share Posted December 15, 2021 Hello, We use Azure AD for SSO to log into Malwarebytes Nebula Cloud (https://cloud.malwarebytes.com) and have MFA enabled. Can you advise how we can log into the Nebula Cloud using the Excel Addin? Here is a screenshot of the version (3.2.8) and error message: Thanks for your help! -Arjun

Staff Lee-Wei Posted December 15, 2021 Staff ID:1493121 Share Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) The username password you use are the ones from Malwarebytes Nebula console, not via Azure, as they might be different. You can use this link to test that Nebula credential works: https://cloud.malwarebytes.com/auth/manual Otherwise, try setting the Nebula password. After that, message me privately and let us debug this together. Edited December 15, 2021 by Lee-Wei
SeanM Posted January 21, 2022 ID:1498441 Share Posted January 21, 2022 (edited) I tried to use the addin this week and I have confirmed my credentials are good. This week I started to get this error, is it related to the MFA requirement - we used mfa prior to the requirement for the console. A screen shot if possible is useful. You can also contact me via private message, and I can help to debug.
TaafB Posted January 28, 2022 ID:1499604 Share Posted January 28, 2022 Hi @Lee-Wei, Since we've migrated to Nebula we've been using your excel plugin, which has always worked excellent. Last Friday however I experienced some problems logging in, and I haven't been able to use it since. The plugin receives a response from the server but I think it has trouble parsing it. I'm curious about what could going wrong.

Go to the Cloud console to setup the 2FA, then the Excel Add-in will prompt you for the auth code propertly.

DPenoff Posted March 31, 2022 ID:1509357 Share Posted March 31, 2022 @Lee-Wei, I am experiencing a similar issue with authentication using the Excel addin. However, whenever I attempt to log into the Excel addin, I receive the "The credentials were not correct" error message. Please advise.

Dan was using SSO to sign into the Nebula web console. His actual password in Nebula is actually out-of-sync (i.e. incorrect). Once we reset the password, the login worked correctly. If you are using OneView, there is a different Excel Add-in for OneView here: https://service.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/4479800301587 The one for Cloud will not work with OneView with 2FA enabled.
