P.U.Ps on Chromebook

Recommended Posts

Hey guys so I had a quick glance at my friend's computer and they had a toolbar and a browser hijacker but on a chromebook. I am not able to do any tests but maybe one of these times Malwarebytes can integrate into a thing on chrome book. This is pretty close to what I saw but as its on a chromebook I thought it was interesting.ilivid-homepage.jpg

Chromebook runs Google's Chrome OS which is based upon Linux.

This the the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( MBAM ) product support for the  Microsoft Windows based OS'.

Malwarebytes doesn't have a product that supports Linux in general and Google's Chrome OS in particular.

Windows 8 (32/64-bit)
Windows 7 (32/64-bit)
Windows Vista (Service Pack 1 or later, 32/64-bit)
Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later, 32-bit only)
Internet Explorer 6 or newer

Supported OS for the Mobile/Android product:

Android 2.3+

Support OS for the Mac product:

Malwarebytes doesn't have a product that supports Linux in general and Google's Chrome OS in particular.

Thank you,

Hi:

No doubt, not officially, and also nothing in favor in past discussions in the fora..

But see, on the 'WINE" page, ref. to MBAM..

Also, some links somewhere about, use with Ubuntu 13.4 or so..

If you want to use it in an unsupported way, on an unsupported OS/platform, that's up to you.

(It may be a EULA violation to do so, but that's up to the lawyers...)

Thanks again,
