wayne56 Posted June 19, 2014 ID:843324 Share Posted June 19, 2014 I noticed in a recent scan log that the log indicated that Root scan was disabled. I checked my settings. Rootkits were enabled. Is this a bug or am I missing something else that I need to do. A partial log AND screenshot is attached. Thanks,Wayne Malwarebytes Log File.txt
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 19, 2014 Root Admin ID:843338 Share Posted June 19, 2014 It is a bug in the log only and will be fixed in a future program update. Thanks
briansalk Posted December 18, 2014 ID:920643 Share Posted December 18, 2014 I am having the same issue. "Scan for Rootkits" was not enabled by default. I enabled it and ran a scan. The scan log states it was disabled. I fear there is malware overriding the setting. Advice?

daledoc1 Posted February 8, 2015 ID:937573 Share Posted February 8, 2015 Hello and welcome: The developers are aware of the issue. It's merely cosmetic. Still not fixed. ;-) That's because the program version update to correct it has not yet been released. Thank you,
bvallance Posted March 31, 2015 ID:952148 Share Posted March 31, 2015 So is this still disabled even though I've selected it to run as a default when scanning is performed? How do I run a rootkit scan if it's always disabled? Is there another way for me to perform a malwarebytes rootkit scan?
