[Spybot error]

The item by 'Matt' (Spybot team) on the second page is interesting - About how certain malware can stop Spybot -

I have never had any probs with Spybot as, like many, it was one of the first AntiMalware programs installed after my A/V -

I just finished my Spybot updates - Got the 'usual' 2 small updates and 1 larger -

Do you think it may just have been your 'mirror' ??- I chose (just went with already selected) a German mirror and got no other messages -

When I boot up the pc no matter who's login i use (mine or the wifes) when the desktop loads, the taskbar down the bottom is frozen. When i move the mouse over it there is just a hour glass.

Hi Clownfish - You are always welcome to ask these questions -

How long do you need to wait for the "hour glass" to go away ?- Also in the mouse settings (Control Panel) is the pointer set to 'Windows Default' -

Otherwise it seems there is another program running in the background at startup - Can you think of any that you may have running ? -

Or do you think that maybe your internet is trying to get started - (Just a few options to think about and then reply) -

Turn off your internet (Just unplug it) until the computer starts and then see if it has improved - Then plug back in and see if there is a change -

Sorry to add, but mine says 1.41 was released on Sept 9 - Is there a 1.42 or 1.41.1 you are refering to in your reply - Or you mean the 1.41 fixes the crew are working on (virtually fixed) now ?? -

I was not sure if it was fixed by the wonderful crew or if this was in a latest update -

But I went to the site you had listed and after 2 mins it told me I already have it installed - Checking now if there is no later updates (August/Sept)-

You will find that the reboot has fully deleted it - In some programs like SUPERantisptware you must reboot and it is then quarantined and you later delete it - Mbytes has deleted it - No worries -
