    There still seems to be a glitch in Avira updates - I have been trying to update after a system restore (did not do a backup) and I am having troubles with manual updates now -

    I let it run for 1 hour and got no response so I will try again in 4-5 hours -

    There was not even a download 'quantity' in the update area - ;)

    Must be a big update on the way or a lack of response at the moment -

    Unfortunately I think I deleted the last update with the restore - It ran a manual scan ok, so I will just wait for a while -

    EDIT -

    After leaving it for a while I am now getting the updates (even though the rate is "very" slow -

    you are probably just going to have to wait for the servers to settle down. I know Avira is aware of the issues with their "free" servers and it has a lot of users upset. Supposedly they are going to do something about it. We shall see ;)

    PS. There is a big update that was released today.

    I got at least 1 or 2 files in the last 24 hrs - But you may recall I had a similar slow problem a few weeks ago -

    After 2 days I just set it for manual and let it find its own way for an hour - They came through after that -

    Just checked the AVG forum to find that they point users towards Malwarebytes as a fix for removal of some infections -

    They just say to download it and give no operating conflicts between the two -

    Hey guys -

    Paula has this way of starting a ?? discussion and then sitting back to watch the defences all come flying out -

    The last major post from paula set up a long to and fro from within the forum - I am not sure if this is one of the reasons for these entries, but if you have taken note it has that effect - A "fairly simple" start like this has already gotten around 10 replies - Mostly from members 'defending' the question put forward - I can think of many answers but not this time, as the answers get to take over from the question put forward -

    Thanks for yours too - I just found it very odd that the screen shot that I printed came out not the same as was shown -

    That was my only basic query to Exile - The directions were very good on both versions, but I only wondered why the screen shot did not print -

    They must have a reason ?? but now I will check my 'print previews' prior to printing a shot -- ;)

    As Ex said I did it but was just a bit confused when the page did not print as it looked -

    I just did File > Print > and saw it was not what was on the screen - I suppose I could have done Print Screen but ....... ;)

    You're right as it shows IE 6 - Even though not much has cnanged -

    I figured it out anyway - If you see it with the pictures first, then without, it is a whole new profile -

    I thought it would be you that would have a list somewhere - :)

    Mission accomplished thanks - And the new inbox already has 3 emails - :)

    I normally can print direct from the net, (just did some of drafting details from a building page) -

    That was the only time I had any problems -

    Just realised I did not have those tools enabled - I had reset it to basic tools only -

    It is a very good guide with all I need - The only problem that occurs is when the guide is printed none of the pictures come out -

    It is only 3 pages of writing - So I keep needing to click back to the forum just to make sure that it is right -

    Should it print out as shown or are the pictures in some way 'copyrighted' or similar ?? :)

    @ Firefox -

    If it is the ISP's mail box there can be problems with being over their limits (I have done it) -

    The limits are not the usual amounts , so this would be a direct response to your ISP - This was why my last ISP diverted all mail to Outlook Express -

    The only problem I have now is that it was not changed back to O/E 'default' prior to leaving that ISP -

    Hence my question in PC Help section - I may need to go to my new ISP to change it , but I would prefer just to have baic O/Express -

    My last ISP set Outlook Express to take the mail from my former account inbox due to the size of memory I had with them -

    Can someone give me the way to, either set it to my new ISP, or set it to no ISP account ??

    I can't remember how we changed it - :lol: Just that it was done via > Run > msn >???

    a good laugh does a person a lot of good.

    I agree 100% - I just can't show them all to my wife (wife jokes) or my sister (blonde jokes) -

    The problem with Mac users is the fact that most think they are 'bullet proof' - We may know that they are not but the info must be put out to them - :)

    There are many ways that Macs can be hit if they are not careful -

    As an aside - Is MBAM program (as written) also suitable for all Mac machines ?? :)

    There is an Adobe Forum like this one - I have used it for similar problems - You often need to Fully uninstall the previous version if it is causing problems and then install the latest version - There should no problem if you use the tool that swagger has given to you and then reinstall the latest version -
