  1. Yes you need to have that checked so MBAM starts and is running in the background. And yes it would have probably prevented the Trojan from running!! You don't have to DL anything for this stuff to get on your machine. Also make sure you upgrade to IE 8 and also make sure all your windows updates are current...Keep checking and installing till it doesn't show any...
  2. In 1.45 you can uncheck show tooltip balloon when website is blocked , uncheck show tooltip balloon after update, and check perform schedule scan silently. The other guys will have to post about the invisible icon question..
  3. Looks good, nice and simple, I like simple:) I see though that the site isn't in a widescreen format but the forums are...Is it possible to do the site in widescreen too? Thanks
  4. Did you upgrade from your Vista install or did you do a clean install? Sometimes doing an in place upgrade instead of wiping out the previoius version can cause issues...
  5. Well, first off, its not MBAM that's causing this, its the removal of the malware thats causing it. If Malware gets its hook's into your system or a critical system file and you remove it, this is the type of behavior that happens... Just be patient and there will be some knowledgable people that will respond to your problem...
  6. Thats why I mentioned about adding the exclusions in your antivirus program so it helps with any conflicts... I"m running MSE with MBAM and added the exclusions into MSE and everything is running great. MBAM is a lite program compared to the Antivirus programs so it isn't a system hog at all. I have all my scans set up to not conflict with each other and at night. Why have both programs? Its called layered protection....
  7. Couple of other things... MBAM is meant to work along side your current Anti-virus program not to replace it... Yes, there is a pop-up showing that an ip address has been blocked and the database has been updated. You can disable the ip-protection pop-up, I know what you mean about "bringing you out of the game" You can disable that IP protection if its causing issues with your game... I have my scans setup to scan at 5:00 am when the computer is not in use... It is easy to set up, the exclusions that you might have to add to your antivirus program can be tricky but theres a great faq for that. The exclusions are to help your antivirus program and MBAM to play well together. You should purchase it help you not get infected....period:)
  8. Uhhh, dude, its faster with it on....and yes I have my results right.
  9. IP protection on: Download Speed: 848 kbps (106 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 411 kbps (51.4 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 47 ms Thursday, March 18, 2010 4:44:02 PM IP Protection off: Download Speed: 782 kbps (97.8 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 410 kbps (51.3 KB/sec transfer rate) Latency: 44 ms Thursday, March 18, 2010 4:46:02 PM As you can see I don't have access to these 100MB's connections like you city folk do.....but as you can see no difference here...
  10. Sorry about that, thought that was something you were working on...my bad.
  11. Hello They are addressing this for the 1.45 release...
  12. Hello Do you think you might have an infection? Sometimes it is hard to tell until you run MBAM as I found out a few days ago... Anyway that's sometimes a sign that you are infected when MBAM either won't launch or closes. If you just be patient some of the qualified techs on here will help you out!
  13. Before you uninstall it why don't you just right click on the tray icon and disable the protection before you launch Money and see if the problem goes away...
  14. Say I was wondering if one of the MBAM techs could "weigh in" on this one. Do you have any idea on how on earth this could get/be this infected and not cause more issues? Did it just keep repropagating itself? Thanks!!
  15. Okay will look into it this week... Thanks!!

  18. Yeah I downloaded some windows updates first, then Microsoft security essentials, which didnt find anything by the way... Then I installed MBAM, and ran a quick scan, and then my jaw dropped when I saw all those infections...I don't know why it wasn't causing more issues?? Yes it working just fine now, did a full scan with MBAM and didn't pick up anything. Am going to upgrade it to the paid version for him alright!!
  19. Hello This is from a laptop I've been working on today. And yes MBAM cleaned it up:) Couldn't believe the number of infections after I ran the quick scan..... mbam_log_2010_03_13__16_09_32_.txt
