  3. I have another suggestion for you along with getting yourself a good antivirus program: MSE for the free side and ESET for the paid side... Use Firefox with the No Script and Ad Block add-ons.
  4. Heres a section to help with that: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?s...mp;#entry162098
  5. Yes I also do some computer repair and noticed the same thing, that AVG is getting to resource heavy. I've been using Microsoft Security Essentials in combo with Malwarebytes, seems to be a good combo...
  6. Theres nothing "normal" about computers... And, I suggest you re-read your post and ask yourself, Do I have "normal" English skills?
  7. Another thing you can do is run Firefox with the No Script and AdBlock add-ons....
  8. Guess I could have read this too:) http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9365
  9. Yes, am using the full paid version of MBAM and Microsoft Security Essentials on my homebuilt Win 7 machine. Also a big ESET fan, have that on the laptop with MBAM.
  10. Okay, thanks for the reply!! Yes I'm using the paid version, and I'm also using Firefox with the No Script and the Ad-Block add-ons. I'm feel pretty secure now:)
  11. Hello I"m mainly talking about these fake antivirus/security programs that people are getting on their computers. I've seen alot of it lately, and on a whole range of systems.... Is it from clicking bad links or from links in e-mails? Thanks!!
  12. Hello Was wondering if theres a set time every day that the database is updated. If there is I was going to set my check for updates at that time or a little after.... The other questions was regarding the IP blocking, how are those addresses determined and are they part of the update database too? Thanks
  13. Or you could set your update time to 4:00 A.M. and the scan time to 5:00 A.M. and you wouldn't even know it, you'd be sleeping like a baby:)
  14. Hello Well it seems to be working just fine now, tried it again today and its booting okay. Hasn't froze since I added those exclusions in Security Essentials.... Thanks for all the replies....
  15. Could somebody look thats running XP and see if theres a delayed start option? Thanks!!
  16. Or is that normal on xp that there isn't an automatic(delayed start) option?
  17. Okay, well on my win 7 tower theres an extra option for automatic(delayed start) on that xp machine theres only automatic.
  18. Hello Thats what I did try next, I entered in the first three and that seemed to do the trick. I also entered in the other ones too anyway. I've rebooted about 5 times now and it looks like its working now....
  19. Okay, this forum needs an edit function:) If I start protection after everything loads then it runs fine.....I just need that delay start option
  20. Sorry, this is on an AMD 64 Athlon X2 with 2 gigs of ram,
  21. Hello Am working on a fresh install of xp home 32 bit sp3, all updates. Running Microsoft Security Essentials also. I have the full paid version of MBAM installed but on bootup i'm getting the red x on Security Essentials, MBAM loads, then the computer freezes. I had to boot into safe mode and uncheck MBAM at startup then it loaded fine with Security Essentials getting the green check on it. I was going to change the startup to Automatic(Delayed Start) but that option isn't there..... Any other ideas? Thanks
  22. Okay, thanks for the info, I'm not that big of an outfit:), just he multiple discount will be fine for me....
  23. If your computer is infected as bad as you say, its usually just easier to reformat and reinstall your OS....
  24. Hello I just had a question about purchasing multiple copies of the full version. I work on computers quite a bit and build them off and on, am going to start putting the paid version on them, along with Microsoft Security Essentials. If I buy 5 Licenses at the checkout do I get 5 separate ID's and Keys? Thanks!!
