  2. Whats the IP address that keeps popping up?
  3. Did you do a quick scan and a full scan of your computer?
  4. You could post this in the False Positives area and see what they come up with... http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=42
  5. Hello It will help for you to post your log file. The section where it shows your logs, find the one that did the scan and found threats. It will open in notepad then just save it and post it on here. Theres a place at the bottom of the post window to attach your text file, just browse to it and the upload it.
  6. Sorry, but your not going to get a whole lot of support when torrent is mentioned.... MBAM is doing its job, nothing more you can do really. My recommendation, to avoid damage, don't do torrents!!
  7. I tried it on an external hard drive via USB, on an internal hard drive, and to a NAS box, all went through the backup without any issues at all. Trust me it's fixed:)
  8. Yes I can verify that its been fixed. I ran it during the beta and my scheduled backup ran just fine on Sunday.
  9. As long as there isn't any issues there is no problem with changing the delayed start to automatic...I"ve changed it also.
  10. Sorry that's in the honorary members area. so the link won't work for you,, heres the quote: If you are a safe user then i would suggest just run a flash scan everytime the database updates. The reasoning behind a flash scan is to majorly speed up the process of checking your computer with new signatures as the database is updated. Flash scan concentrates on 2 areas of malware activity, loaded process's and loading points for those process's. If there is malware there known to our DB then flash will detect one or both components and then users know its time to run a quick scan/fullscan to complete a removal. Flash scans will not use the full spectrum of detections(e.g scanning files on the computer),removal and fixing like the quickscan but then if your not infected(on demand scan) that really is no issue what so ever and the time it takes for a quick PC check happens in a *flash* <stone me now for bad humour tongue.gif > That said if you are using MBAM to clean up an infected computer go streight to Quick scan in regular mode for MBAM at its awesome best biggrin.gif

  12. I just noticed something, thats the right click menu for version 1.44 You might try to uninstall MBAM, then reboot, run the MBAM cleanup utility: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe Then download 1.45 and install it. Make sure you have your license key too.
  13. Heres older versions.... http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwareb...i_malware/tech/ over on the right hand side...
  14. Hello Go to Notification Area Icons within Control Panel and where MBAM is, in the drop down menu, select show icon and notifications and see if that helps....
  15. Hello Just a heads up, Microsoft Support for Windows 2000 ends on July 13, 2010, maybe you already knew that but some information for those that don't....
  16. In the new version 1.45 theres an option to scan weekly....
  17. @blake001 I would do a daily scan since the definitions are continually updated throughout the day. I have my 1.44 version set to check for updates at 4 a.m. and do a scan at 5 am every day on my xp machine. I leave my computer on 24/7... In the new version 1.45 you have some more options for updating and scanning...
  18. I recently put the paid/full version of MBAM along with Microsoft Security Essentials on an Acer netbook with the Atom processor. I don't recall what the speed of the processor was but those two together were by no mean slowing the system down at all...It had XP on it. That combination is what I've been putting on all the computers I've been working on recently. And if somebody wants a paid Antivirus I put Eset Nod 32 on it...
  19. Heres a thread you can take a look at see if theres anything that might help... http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=32679
