  1. If you can run Malwarebytes and perform updates there is no need to add the firewall section. MSE does not have a firewall with it so you should be good to go.

  6. It may well be a bad motherboard.... Do you have any signs of blown capacitors, or leaking one? You can read some articles and see some pictures of what to look for below: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=195 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague If any of your capacitors look like any of the ones in those pages, then its the motherboard. (Also power supplies have capacitors inside them as well that may look like this).

Please do the following: (Perform a clean/fresh install of Malwarebytes) NOTE: These steps need to be performed on your computer while logged in as an Administrator..... Download and run mbam-clean.exe from HERE It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from HERE Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. 10. You are welcome, should you have other questions don't hesitate to ask....
  11. I think its time for you to go seek some help from the experts so that they can have a look over your logs..... Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process: As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. After posting your new post, make sure under options, you select Track this topic and choose Immediate Email Notification, so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please refrain from making any further changes to your computer (Install/Uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc...) unless advised by a malware removal helper. Doing so can result in system changes which may hinder the attempts by a helper to clean your machine. NOTE: Please DO NOT post back to (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours. Replying to your own posts changes the post count and helpers are looking for topics with zero replies. If you reply to your own post helpers may think that you're already being helped and thus overlook your post. If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply to the topic, asking for help again. Or You may send a Private Message to a Moderator asking for assistance. Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or here. Please be patient, someone will assist you as soon as it is possible. PS: Please use the "ADDREPLY" button instead of other ones when you start replying.
  12. I know you are getting excellent help from Mainard...... I just wanted to ask one question, is your system date and time correct on your computer? I have seen some anti-virus software do this due to the computer being on the wrong date.... EDIT: Nevermind, I download one of your logs and it shows the right date (although its a different format than mine)....
  13. zanth07, we look forward to continuing with you in the HJT section should it be necessary. When you get home, update Malwarebytes so you are scanning with the latest database, then run a scan in Normal Mode and see if it finishes and cleans up the Disk Optimizer for you. Let us know how it goes....
  14. Exile360 is correct, I have done this many times, and works great. Maximizing the Malwarebytes Program window will show all buttons and features...
  15. @ zanth07 Hi, and Welcome to Malwarebytes! Malwarebytes was designed to be run in Normal mode for best detection rates and removal. 16. The more IP's you keep adding to the ignore list from using utorrent, the more you are leaving yourself open to an infection.
  17. You seem to be on the right track, you should also check to see if there are newer drivers for your video card, network cards, and also to see if there is a more current version of your BIOS. You can get those from the manufactures web site.
