  1. Hello and Please do the following: Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so very important After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask and we'll explain how to do it.
  2. RandomlyKnighted by no means do I think of you as being a fool, I must have misunderstood you as not having anti-virus installed on those computers.... Sorry you misunderstood me or took it the wrong way.... Hard to get your thoughts on paper sometimes and sometimes it comes across the wrong way.... All the same, I am glad that you have Microsoft Security Essentials installed along side the anti-virus. The latest version of Malwarebytes PRO version does put an automatic update by default during the install process, its up to the user to either leave it that way, or change the scheduler to what suits them best if need be.

  4. OK, as I stated earlier, Malwarebytes is not an anti-virus program and if you are setting it up as such, you are leaving your computer and those that you help unprotected and vulnerable, you are doing them no justice by leaving them unprotected. NOD32, AVG, Norton, McAfee all anti-virus programs I have setup, will require you to either setup a schedule or modify the default schedule to perform the scans, or they force you to scan from time to time. Malwarebytes PRO will automatically update its definitions once the scheduler is setup properly according to the schedule you set. Malwarebytes by no means can now how individuals use their computers or what time they have them on, therefore its up to each person to set a schedule that best fits there needs. The FREE version of Malwarebytes is the only one that needs to be updated manually. I strongly suggest you install an anti-virus program on those computers to work along with Malwarebytes to be fully protected.
  5. Being that you were infected, and the infection caused this, it is quite possible that there is something still there.... Go ahead and follow the instructions I left above for you so that you can post in the HJT section. They will check your logs and help you get it going again...
  6. Thank you for supporting our program - It is always good to hear from a happy customer - Best regards from the crew -
  7. Hello and Not sure what you are getting at? As with any program, when you install a program, you have to set it up, you have to configure how you want it to run according to your schedule. Once you have setup the PRO version of Malwarebytes to your liking as far as when it will update (this can be done on a daily, weekly, hourly schedule) and when it will scan, Malwarebytes is now protecting you in REAL time, including protecting you from Malicious web sites (web blocking). As for scanning a flash drive when inserted, that is the job of your anti-virus program not Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes is not an anti-virus program and it designed to work along side your anti-virus program.
  8. Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process: You have 3 Options that you can choose from as listed below: [*]Option 1
  9. Hello and All you have to is download the free copy and use your ID and Key to register the free one and it unlocks the PRO version. The extended download is really not necessary. Yes the LIFETIME license is a great deal for everyone. Should you need to transfer the licence to another computer, you are correct all that is needed is to run the mbam-clean tool, then install and register it on the new computer. We know that sometimes hard drives fail and you can not uninstall it from the old computer. As long as the license is only being used actively on one computer at a time you should be OK. If you run into issues you can always contact the person you bought Malwarebytes from or Cleverbridge and it will get sorted out.
  10. solus2sail your quite welcome! I am glad it worked for you, if you have any other issues or questions don't hesitate to ask.
  11. yeah aliens.... they can always be defeated with a virus.....

  13. You are not allowed to use the retail version (home edition) of Malwarebytes in a corporate environment, this is a violation of the EULA, as you use McAfee and have a corporate version of it, I can see you are using this in a company or corporation. You need to get corporate licenses for Malwarebytes and then seek help for the corporate helpdesk....
  14. Your quite welcome, should you have other questions or issues don't hesitate to ask....

  17. Hello and Usually this happens if you are running Malwarebytes in a limited account and trying to update with that account. Either login as a user with Admin rights and update, or right click on the Malwarebytes Icon and select Run as Administrator.... Let us know if that helps....

  20. Please provide following details, so that someone may be able to assist you: OS version including 32/64-bit Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall and Program Versions MBAM version (current 1.50.1.1100) (Free or Pro) Definition version (current 5561) Do you use a router to connect to Internet
  21. Your problem as it sounds is due to a virus and not malware, this is a job for your antivirus software. You need to scan both computers with your antivirus software (make sure its updated). I did see this infection at a coustomers site and I used there corporated edition of Symantec Endpoint Protection to clean it. There was no need to use Malwarebytes in this case. (but like I said this was in their case, I could not be sure unless I saw what was happening on your box) As far as using Malwarebytes you still need a corporate license to use in a corporate environment.... Using it on your workstation and server requires a corporate license.... As a licensed reseller, affiliate, corporate, non-profit or government user or tech shop, your current inquiry is eligible for Malwarebytes
  22. Thanks for the reviews I am going to have to go watch it now..... Everyone I have asked so far has liked it.....
