  9. I still have my Commodore 64 with its tape drive. I have a whole lot of cassettes where I had all my programs saved too... I fired it up about a year ago and it still works.... A trip to memory lane indeed....
  10. Yes you can order it from any computer you want, went you get your email with the ID and Key just enter that info on the computer you are installing Malwarebytes on.

  12. Hello, if you have two routers and they are both configured for DHCP, it is quite possible that two computers are getting the same IP. Especially if both routers are configured to give the same range of numbers in the DHCP scope. Disable one from giving IP numbers, or leave both on, just change the range that each one gives out numbers. For example one router can give out a range of say 192.168.1.50 - 100 and the next router could give out a range of 192.168.1.101 - 150. This way they will not give conflicting numbers. If you have two computers with the same IP, one will loose connection.

  14. First off, make sure you have the latest version of Malwarebytes installed and updated then run a scan to make sure the system is not infected with something. Also run a scan with your updated anti-virus software. If no infections are found, then more than likely someone has hacked into you yahoo email account. I would change your Yahoo email account password as soon as you can.
  15. Just to add to what 1PW has posted.... Yes Malwarebytes should be run as an Administrator so that it can scan all files and profiles as well. If something is detected, it will remove the files and the entries from the registry as well. It will however need to be run as the other user as well. (run as admin if the other user is a limited account). This will ensure that all registry items for that user get removed as well. The first scan with the first user will get all the files that will prevent the computer from getting infected again when you log in as the second user, but the registry for the second user can not be cleaned unless you are logged in as that user. This is only because the registry for the second user does not get loaded until the user logs on. Hope that makes sense....
  16. Glad to hear you got your problem resolved, thanks for filling us in on what your findings were as well...
  17. Hello and This topic really has nothing to do with Malware and should probably be either in the General Forum, or the PC Help forum.... that being said.... Key-loggers is a touchy subject. If you are going to install this, you have to know what you are doing, cause your anti-virus software will detect these key-loggers as unsafe, therefore since the other person is computer savvy, they will find out you have it installed. Another thing, I do not know where you live, but some states/cities have laws against eavesdropping on people without their consent. You would have to research the laws in your area to make sure you not doing something illegal. Then there is the trust issue between you and the other person, the will definitely go out the window.... I am not a licensed doctor or anything but I would suggest perhaps speaking to a professional counselor instead.... Of course this is my view on this and does not reflect on the views of the folks here at Malwarebytes....
  18. You can run it in fine in a limited account, but in order for it to be able to remove any infections found, it would require Admin rights, so its just best to start off by doing the scan as an admin in case it does find any infections and needs to clean them. So it is best to Right Click on it and then Select run as Admin...
