A Few Problems with Malwarebytes
Firefox replied to MalakAdonai's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Hello, and Welcome to Malwarebytes 1. The first problem is probably due to the fact that you are trying to udpate Malwarebytes using a limited account. You require Admin rights to update it. You could always right click on the Icon and select Run as Administrator and when the program opens then you should be able to update it. 2. If all you have in the quarantine tab is the items if found for mywebsearch, it is safe to delete all those items. As for what cause it to not let you log back on, it was probably due to some of the changes the malware did to your computer.... If you want to make sure that you are fully clean and no longer infected follow the instructions below.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you think you are infected, here are the steps needed to get your computer cleaned.... Cletus is passing by Billy Bob's hay barn one day when, through a gap in the door, he sees Billy Bob doing a slow and sensual striptease in front of an old green John Deere. Buttocks clenched, he performs a slow pirouette, and gently slides off first the right strap of his overalls, followed by the left. He then hunches his shoulders forward and in a classic striptease move, lets his overalls fall down to his hips, revealing a torn and frayed plaid shirt. Then, grabbing both sides of his shirt, he rips it apart to reveal his stained T-shirt underneath. With a final flourish, he tears the T-shirt from his body, and hurls his baseball cap onto a pile of hay. Having seen enough, Cletus rushes in and says, "What the heck're ya doing, Billy Bob?" "Good Lord, Cletus, ya scared the bejeezers out of me," says an obviously embarrassed Billy Bob. "Me 'n the Ol' Lady been havin trouble lately in the bedroom d'partment, and the therapist suggested I do something sexy to a tractor." [ Now don't make me come splain this to you! Read the last line again, slowly.]
