  1. Definitely a big problem with MBAM here! It happened again with www.google.com Attached Ping shots shows Ping & Tracert failures Exited MBAM did not even restart IE, www.google.com then worked and Ping OK
  2. Since using MBAM 2, occasionally I will start my browser, go to a commonly used website, and it will not load. Refreshing the site or reloading the browser doesn't help. If I exit MBAM, restart the browser, the problem goes away. Restarting MBAM again does not cause the problem to return for some time. The latest site that caused this problem is http://www.windowsphone.com/, but it has happened on http://www.google.com, and other sites. I am also using MBAE. I am now fairly confident that either it is an issue with MBAM 2, or that MBAE is causing MBAM to play up. I tried a MBAM clean then fresh install and that hasn't fixed the issue. The issue occurs about once every two days. How do I track this one down?
  3. Do you still need me to run the clean process and post logs etc as requested?
  4. Why does Microsoft Security Client folder appear 6 times when I add it only once. Same thing happens when I remove it (once) and re-add it.
  5. I was also getting this on multiple computers, but they all update now so it must have been a server issue.
  6. Also practice safe browsing and safe email use. Be very wary about downloading/installing free software from the internet etc. What I have done to my old XP netbook is dual booted XP with UBUNTU - very simple using WUBI (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/WubiGuide). Then I use Ubuntu for email and browsing, and disable XP's internet access, just using XP for Word processing, pictures etc. I continue to have MBAM Pro and MBAE running on XP just in case.
  7. My opinion is that no matter what security products you have on XP, after April 2014 XP will become increasingly vulnerable to attack. Most AV vendors have said that they will provide support for XP for another year or so, but sooner or later that support will stop. Firefox & Chrome browsers will continue to be updated on XP for at least another year, so if you choose to continue to use XP it makes sense to use them instead of Internet Explorer.
  8. rwharold is correct - the only way to update XP with that version of MBAE running is to wait for the Automatic Updates check to kick in. Meanwhile, I can vouch that it has been fixed. The workaround is to stop MBAE or uninstall it until Updates are done via IE.
  9. Windows XP Started computer Went to Windows Update MBAE Block occurred I know XP updates stop April but I expected some this month)
  10. Even though you have clean-installed FF & profile, would it be worth trying a FF Reset? Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox
  11. I think this is a false positive - I have had the file for quite a file and hasn't been identified before. Log.txt
  12. Yep, I found it (it happened a bit earlier than I thought). I included a memory leak event that occurred just before the MBAE crash, in case that is relevant. MBAE Events.txt
  13. Yes I am sure this is a different issue. I saw the icon disappear. I checked running processes in Task Manager - MBAE.EXE was not running. After checking system event logs I restarted MBAE and the icon immediately appeared.
  14. W7 x 32 MBAE 0.09.5.0300 MBAE 0.09.5.0300 disappeared. There was no Windows event log entry. MBAE Default log shows an issue with Acrobat Reader, MBAE disappeared sometime after this. I think it happened after viewing the video on the page below in IE, but not sure. Default log attached. Note that Adobe Reader was updated to 11.0.06 yesterday. http://www.badbacks.com.au/shop/product/1898/332/swopper-classic-changing-the-way-we-sit MBAE restarted OK. mbae-default.log
  15. Sorry, I meant Customer Preview - it wasn't showing up on my browser yesterday for some reason, but it is now.
  16. I was using the latest version.
  17. ... and attached is the associated event log entry event.txt
  18. While browsing in IE www.cruisesalefinder.com.au, I received the attached error, pressing Retry cleared it. Interesting that it references drive F which doesn't exist. Any more info needed? Windows 8.1 x 64, Defender, MBAM Pro
  19. OK, I thought that might not apply to the latest version
  20. W7 x 32 Have restarted this computer about 5 times since installing latest MBAE. On one occasion the tray icon failed to show but MBAE was running. Double clicking on MBAE cause the tray icon to momentarily appear then disappear. On restarting the icon appeared again.
  21. Latest version of MBAE "An exploit code has been blocked in Adobe Reader" At the time I was selecting a benign PDF file for uploading using TYPE03 website backend in Firefox See attached pic & log W7 x 32 mbae-default.zip
  22. Me too - Windows 7 x 32 I have uninstalled it pending advice.
