  1. I got a notification saying that I need to update my virus definitions, so I opened the app, and lo and behold, there was a big blue button on the dashboard under the "critical issues" section, prompting me to update the malware database. I clicked on it, and it did that little thing that touch screen buttons do when clicked on... and nothing else. I waited for a while, clicked the button again, restarted the app, restarted my phone, tried again, and still got nothing more than a ripple. While I was looking for solutions to the issue on the forums, I saw that the update had completed.
  2. Something I've been wondering for awhile now is why MBAM free for Android doesn't have scheduled scans or automatic database updates anymore?
  3. Hi, I am using the free MBAM version and everyday I update its database version, but it takes almost 1 1/2 min to "find" the download server and start the download itself. It is as if the server(s) were very bussy or very slow to respond! ...eventually, after the mentioned amount of time (more or less) the download starts and the update finishes fine. I know it is not my ISP or my PCs (Two with Win 10 and one with Win 7) because it happens on all three of them and the rest of the internet experience is as fast as my ISP advertises. Just wondering. Thank you very much for such a GREAT
  4. Logged in as admin under Win 8.1, I've done the following on my desktop: -run mbam-clean- -turned off Windows firewall and Avast -installed mban-setup- When the program tries to update, I'm given the message "unable to access update server" and the Database Version remains at v2015.06.03.03. A scan will run and detect PUPs (I ran it in normal Windows mode--should I be in Safe mode?), but following the scan the Database Version remains the same. Meanwhile, my Win 8.1 laptop, which is not running Avast, has no problem updating the database and running a scan. So, I
  5. Hi New to the forums having purchased the Premium version of MWB today. I've previously been using the free version. The database is out of date and won't update itself when prompted to do so. This was also the case when the free version was in use. I understand that this isn't uncommon and have read through the forums in search of an answer to the problem. My initial thought was to re-install the programme using mbam_clean.exe. However, the links provided for the download of this do not work for me, and the relevant page will not open. So I'm unable to download the programme. I have
  6. I am running on XPPro All was working fine until I update to the newer version. Now: 1. Real Time protection never turns on 2. Database update never updates or finishes the process 3. When I tried to Clear All logs it doesn't and the last log was from 9/14/14 From what I've been reading this is a known issue Is it resolvable? if not then how can I reinstall the previous version?
  7. I am getting a pop up in the lower right hand corner stating that the databases are out of date -- when I click update now nothing happens -- another pop up box appears each time I click. When I open my malwarebytes window - It tells me the same thing "Your databases are out of date". When I click the fix now button -- nothing happens. Is this because my premium subscription has expired?
  8. Greetings - I noticed that my Malwarebytes Premium was not executing when I started Windows (8.1-64). When I executed the program and tried to update the files, error message said the database was not available. I updated Windows with the most recent security updates and now Malwarebytes will not even execute. Suggestions on how to approach this would be appreciated.
  9. Hello -- Database version is v2014.06.28.05 Does anyone have suggestions as to what to do to update the db? Thanks, L Mehl
  10. I keep on getting database update warnings and when I click to do it, it either ignores it and comes right back with the message or goes away and then shortly thereafter returns. The dashboard shows that the database update was not done. How can this be fixed?
