Jimbo,

We have no office in the UK. Maybe you mean AVG? We are based in the US.

Lottie you are not infected. This is a not true detection by AVG. If you add the exceptions in AVG like i said. Run the clean again and reinstall mbam it should be ok.

I don't recommend doing a system restore. It probably won't restore our files.

Hi Shadowwar

I was going by this which states GMT , http://store.malwarebytes.org/342/ma/cusec...4?id=rFq9D1XFSg

Now I dont have the files in my virus vault as I have deleted them, so I have no return of those files whatsoever as I carried on as if it was infact a trojan so they got zapped. Please can I ask what are my options as I have added the exclude directory already in AVG, I just would like to reinstall malwarebytes and need the link to download it or can I download the free version and apply my registration details? Thanks

My Apologies to Malwarebytes for any inconvenience caused.

This is what you do:-

# Open AVG and click on Tools and select Advanced Settings

# Click on Resident Shield

# Click on Excluded files then click Add List

# Exclude the following directories:

# C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamcore.dll

# C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamnet.dll

# Apply and OK it and your done!

It worked for me.

I don't really want to roll back my system tbh,

Can anyone at Malwarebytes please tell me why the phone number for the UK is stating out of office hours when its half two in the afternoon here, Its only Christmas eve?

Jimbo666 did you get it to work yet.

I had the same problem.

I Opened up avg's program double clcik on the resident shield & down at the bottom click on the manage exceptions button.

click on add file. & go to the program files to the malware folder and select the file it is showing on avgs detection screen

My file thatit was detecting was mbamcore.dll.

I just uninstalled the old malwarebytes & also got the cant find file on uninstall, I just kept going & it uninstalled.

Went to the program files & deleted anything that had the malwarebytes name on it.

Empty the recycle bin that has all the old files

Go back to malwarebytes.org & redownload the program.

It should work, it did for me

Take care

Richard

# Open AVG and click on Tools and select Advanced Settings

# Click on Resident Shield

# Click on Exceptions then click Add Path

# Exclude the following directories:

# C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

It should no longer detect the files.

To resolve, I had to select Tools > Advanced Settings > Resident Shield > Directory Excludes > Add Path > then I put in C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\

I tried to fix using Tools > Advanced Settings > Resident Shield > Excluded Files > Add

but using listing the path there didn't resolve.

Only Directory Exclude stopped the problem.

I did uninstall & reinstalled Malwarebytes - and no issues after excluded from directory

Great!!!! It worked for me, too.

But I clicked on ADD DIRECTORY and added the entire directory, though...

C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

...and at first I failed to click on APPLY and then OK so it did not "take" ...but when I did it right AVG and MWB are both coexisitng nicely now.

WHAT A RELIEF!!!
