Anti-Rootkit up to date and stopped!
Tuscan Driver replied to Tuscan Driver's topic in Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit BETA Support
Thanks for the posting. Yes, as I had presumed all along, the developers have shutdown their program and turned off any further updates. Will be interesting to see why they took this view considering as I stated in the above, I ran the MB Premium and found no registry rootkits however, after running their Anti-Rootkit program, it found six rootkits in the registry. That would suggest maybe the developers should consider keeping this external rootkit tool. -

Ok buddy, you get your shut eye and hopefully someone else will have an answer to this, what looks like software that Malwarebytes no longer offer any further support to. -

Christ sakes man, My PC is NOT infected, the purpose of my post was initially to ascertain why Anti-Rootkit has reached a brick wall with its updates? It doesn't update anymore as you can see from the video (been this way for two weeks). I came here to see if anyone knows why its reached a brick wall with no further updates. Has Malwarebytes turned off the server for this program? I'm assuming you won't know the answer to this but a more senior technical person would perhaps. -

Tuscan Driver started following Malwarebytes Premium Subscription Renewal and Anti-Rootkit up to date and stopped!

I have used this program for many years. Only recently it removed 6 rootkits from the registry. It updated to v2024.03.13.12 about two weeks ago and there appears no further patch updates. I also use the Premium and it too searched for rootkits however, two weeks back it found none and so I ran this program and it found six! I'm not entirely sure they were false postives or not. I also see that on your website, you no longer offer support for this Anti-Rootkit. Any advice would be welcome. Recording 2024-03-19 224944.mp4

I had 28 days remaining on my Premium account and was being prompted to renew my subscription. I was told that if I renew now, I would be able to keep any existing days that remained on my interface account, which was 28 days. I went onto my https://estore.malwarebytes.com/ account to renew but unfortunately it was prompting me to renew my subscription for 2 PC's. I now only had the 1 PC and I contacted support for how to go about renewing for just the one. I was emailed the link and was presented with just the 1 PC to renew my subscription. After I had completed the transaction, I checked my MB interface and now instead of the status saying 394 days remaining, it only said 366, So I had been cheated of the other 28 days! I opened up a Malwarebytes Support ticket on the 04/11/23 but have heard no more back since. I have been using this software for many years now and never been short changed like this before. Sadly might start looking elsewhere after this subscription expires next back end of 2024.

I didn't need to run the FRST process. Eventually, success! I deleted the 3 stray Malwarebytes Privacy files after I turned off what you suggested, the 'Enable self-protection module' in my Malwarebytes Premium.

Yeah I done the uninstall from add remove from control panel and and what was left was three files in the file explorer. They are unmovable and not deletable.

I have the same issue too. It can't be removed from the File Explorer or the Network Connections, even after I disabled it there.
