SolarSolar Posted March 2, 2010 ID:208648 Share Posted March 2, 2010 It would be reassuring if there was a page that listed blocked sites, is this possible?I had P2P software some time ago but have uninstalled it after contracting a virus, assistance was through Bleeping Computer. I believe that I should have no malware etc... running but still have IP addresses being blocked when no browser is running. I would like to know if the site/s being blocked are actually harmful or not. Here is a list of recents; 89.28.92.40, 89.28.0.22, 62.45.168.185, 94.96.204.162.Is there a way I can check this myself?Brian

whatmeworry? Posted March 3, 2010 ID:209014 Share Posted March 3, 2010 Thanks... not a bad lookup site for a free version. The trouble is that this doesn't really say anything about whether the site is indeed problematic. I've got a small free program from NirSoft called IPNetInfo on my computer that gives pretty much the same information, but neither it nor the one mentioned here tells me anything about the site's reliability. Or am I overlooking something?

I have read through everything. I already have Mbam and avira installed for some time and have been running them. I assure I can skip the steps pertaining to them? Also, i am unsure of the following "DeFogger - Re-Enable (only run when instructed to when your system is clean again)" So, I do not re-enable drivers until my reports have been responded to by a Malwarebytes rep and i have followed the proceedures they have asked me to do, and my system is clear? Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted March 8, 2010 Root Admin ID:211475 Share Posted March 8, 2010 Correct. Basically there are a couple of recent rootkits that are harder to detect when CD/DVD virtualization software is running. Once your helper gives you the all clear then you can re-enable any such software.
