AndrewMurdza Posted May 17 ID:1637070 Share Posted May 17 When I try to open my web page, the CPU usage maxes out and the tab eventually crashes due to running out of memory. This only happens when Malwarebytes' "Ads/Trackers" option is enabled. I have been using MalwareBytes for a very long time and the issue just started today. Link to post
AndrewMurdza Posted May 17 Author ID:1637071 Share Posted May 17 It also doesn't work on the public version of the website. The link is https://lendalcalc.com/MA141/review/func Link to post
Porthos Posted May 17 ID:1637078 Share Posted May 17 @AndrewMurdza If you're having issues with Malwarebytes Browser Guard you may want to try to update the program manually. Click on the extension icon If you can not see the Browser Guard icon in the browser toolbar, click the puzzle icon and unhide or pin the icon. Click the Kebab Menu -> then Support Click the Check for database updates button If still having an issue then click Clear Browser Guard Storage, Restart the Browser, and check for Database Updates again Link to post
AndrewMurdza Posted May 17 Author ID:1637088 Share Posted May 17 When I did Clear Browser Guard Storage, it fixed the problem temporarily. However, when I clicked "Check for database updates" again the problem came back and stayed even after clearing the storage again. Link to post
AndrewMurdza Posted May 17 Author ID:1637091 Share Posted May 17 As long as external people with MalwareBytes can still use the site I can just add it to the whitelist on my pc. Link to post

Staff blender Posted May 17 Staff ID:1637103 Share Posted May 17 Hello, I just tried going to the site and seeing the same issue. (CPU bolts to the roof until tab crashes) Can we get some logs from BrowserGuard so we can see what is happening? Try to reporoduce the issue (without a pile of other tabs open), then .... Under the support tab indicated above by Porthos, click "download debug logs". Save it someplace easy to find like the desktop. Zip it and probably best to PM me the logs please. Thanks! 1 Link to post
Staff Solution blender Posted May 17 Staff Solution ID:1637109 Share Posted May 17 Hello, I think we've found the issue. Putting out a fix - will be about 1/2 hour. Will need to update database for BrowserGuard. 1 Link to post
