Malwarebytes Chrome extension rendering local website unusable

When I try to open my web page, the CPU usage maxes out and the tab eventually crashes due to running out of memory. This only happens when Malwarebytes' "Ads/Trackers" option is enabled. I have been using MalwareBytes for a very long time and the issue just started today.

If you're having issues with Malwarebytes Browser Guard you may want to try to update the program manually.

  • Click on the extension icon

  • Click the Kebab Menu -> then Support
  • Click the Check for database updates button
  • If still having an issue then click Clear Browser Guard Storage, Restart the Browser, and check for Database Updates again

Hello,

I just tried going to the site and seeing the same issue. (CPU bolts to the roof until tab crashes)
Can we get some logs from BrowserGuard so we can see what is happening?
Try to reporoduce the issue (without a pile of other tabs open), then ....
Under the support tab indicated above by Porthos, click "download debug logs". Save it someplace easy to find like the desktop. Zip it and probably best to PM me the logs please.

Thanks!
