2. (FIXED) SharedDLL detection.

3. (FIXED) File from registry function not working when no path existed.

4. (FIXED) Wrong scan item count being displayed.

5. (ADDED) Check if context menu exists before registering.

No problems here. Scans are faster, with no FPs.

However MBAM failed to detect an antitrojan test file (similar to EICAR) I downloaded from here:

http://www.misec.net/trojansimulator/

Other anti malware apps I have detected it, including a-squared 3.0, which found:

C:\downloads\trojansim\TSServ.exe detected: TrojanSimulator.TestFile

Value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run --> TrojanSimulator detected: Trace.Registry.TrojanSimulator

Installed and updated to DB 219 ran a quick scan and was pleased to see Anitvir updates were not flagged as malware!! Yeah!! I did deny start at boot up and constant monitor. Is this going to be a problem for the program? I just didn't want the added services running etc.

Yeah, that monitor is a small PITA for now - hopefully it'll get better - the main program scanning engine gives me almost 6000 entries scanned per minute - not bad for this ancient P4 3.2 GHz machine....

Marcin, I read today in my MSDN download notification via email that M$ has released a tool to assist developers in coding for modern processors with multiple cores - called Parallel Extensions.

The computational power of multi-core processors, new programming models and platforms, and advanced research in usability all promise to change the way people interact with computers. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to correctly implement parallel applications with today's technologies. Parallel Extensions to the .NET Framework, available now as a Community Technology Preview (CTP), is a managed programming model for data parallelism, task parallelism, and coordination on parallel hardware unified by a common work scheduler. Parallel Extensions makes it easier for developers to write programs that scale to take advantage of parallel hardware - providing improved performance as the numbers of cores and processors increase - without having to deal with many of the complexities of today's concurrent programming models. Parallel Extensions provides library-based support for introducing concurrency into applications written with any .NET language, including but not limited to C# and Visual Basic. Download it today. You can discuss and provide feedback on Parallel Extensions in the MSDN Forums, and learn more about concurrency in the new Parallel Computing Developer Center on MSDN.

Think that will be of any use to you?

0.74 tell later then i messed 0.76 and updated to 0.77 with in the program

then i got def.version d.b.219 f.p.10811 and restarted the pc

i start a full scan with mbam 0.77 and with avira and superantispy and comodo v.3 turned off

and it seems to hang at performing extra and heuristics scan and if i look in

the task manager cmdagetn.exe is using 85% cpu the scan will finsh but it takes

Just a couple quick things so far;

1. Drive (custom) scan is missing for the quick scan (should be there for both, or configurable via the settings)

2. Drive labels are missing (not mandatory, but a nice optional extra for those of us with lots of local/network etc drives/partitions)

I noticed this scan seemed to be much faster. Quick scan was at about 7 minutes for a scan and is now down to around 5!

No false positives for quite a while here. B)

Also, something I've been meaning to post but haven't gotten around to it. Would it be possible to add a "pause" button to the scan? Sometimes things pop-up during that scan and I think it would be easier to be able to pause rather that have to stop and re-scan later.
