how to decrypt files from .yyza ransomeware virus

Recommended Posts

Hello. regret to read about this sort of severe, malicious damage. Malwareebytes has no decryptor of any sort. Has never had such a fixer. This type of ransomware is classified as STOP series of ransomware. See https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/671473/stop-ransomware-stop-djvu-puma-promo-support-topic/page-795#entry5568571

The best way to recover damaged files is from a previously made system backup.

The best way to protect your system is to have Malwarebytes Premium installed. It would have stopped the ransomware. Further, Backup is your best friend. Make a habit to have system backups on offline removable-media or a cloud service. In addition, practice safe practices on the internet and staying away from dodgy downloads or installs of so-called "free games / free stuff" from dodgy sources.

  1. Recommend using a Password Manager for all websites, etc. that require a password. Never use the same password on more than one site.
