Yes, a Threat scan is the best in general. If you've never run a full scan then you might want to run one. However, after that then if you're using the paid premium version with real time protection you should not need to run a new full scan for a long time.

The regular Threat scan already scans all know load points where malware is known to launch or run from

i would suggest a threat scan even if you have "scan for rootkits enabled" scans for me only take about 48 seconds to 1 minuet Malwarebytes offers super fast effective scanning.
