tokis Posted May 17, 2020 ID:1381867 Share Posted May 17, 2020 Hi Today I was on the following website https://freeonlinetools24.com/json-decode a website that decodes json data and something strange happened, when I clicked the button at the bottom to decode my json data the page was redirected to another site (adult site), I went back to the site and clicked again the button and the page redirected again this time to google after that the button worked again as it supposed to work. The redirection never happened again before or after the incident. I'm not sure if I'm infected or something is wrong with the website but I would like to check my computer & network. (I'm using Chrome) Can you please help me? There are some policies set, are you aware of those policies: GroupPolicy: Restriction ? <==== ATTENTION FF HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\Firefox: Restriction <==== ATTENTION CHR HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google: Restriction <==== ATTENTION HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer: Restriction <==== ATTENTION There also seems to be a virtual machine process in use vmmem FRST could not open or check that process, also do not see in the installed program list. They can also be set by system security and very obviously if the system is infected Malware or infection. Your logs are not indicating Malware or Infection so we can discount those two. So is this a private PC, business, school or company setup...? you can check group policy with the following: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box. Type rsop.msc and press Enter. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run box. Type rsop. msc and press Enter. The Resultant Set of Policy tool will start scanning your system for applied group policies. After scanning, the tool will show you a management console that lists out all group policies applied to your currently logged-on account. Thanks, Kevin... "Do not open that file when running FRST fix" NOTE. It's important that both FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work. Open FRST and press the Fix button just once and wait. The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt) or the folder it was ran from. Please post it to your reply.
