Hello to everyone,

Each time i surf to different sites, i got malwarebytes premium to block the apps.bumpyardpro.com.

I emailed the owner of apps.bumpyardpro.com and he said he will ask malwarebytes , but he never answers me anymore.

Could someone tell me anything about apps.bumpyardpro.com?

Hello dear Kevin,

When i enter that link https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/214325-chrome-secure-preferences-detection-always-comes-back/

malware blocks the address with the same PUP.

as i mentioned before, the same PUP is blocked my mb but i can still enter the sites.

Will the instructions above you gave me, will delete all my saved passwords?

Yes, passwords would be lost for Google.

If you're not saving, tracking your passwords then you really need to get those managed or you will not be able to safely use the computer.

Use Password Management software

Bitwarden
KeePass Password Safe

Make sure you use a strong master password
Then set the key transformation settings (the link below helps provide information on how to choose good settings)
https://pthree.org/2016/06/29/further-investigation-into-scrypt-and-argon2-password-hashing
KeePass Password Manager: Full Detailed Setup (good YouTube video on setup and using Keepass but choose the Argon2 method for Key transformation)

I highly suggest you contact Google Support if needed and get that rectified so that you do know your passwords.

Hiya Mickey123,

What is current situation with your PC, are the blocks only happening when you use Chrome or does it happen if alternative browser is used... Edge or Firefox.

The IP address does not seem to be malicious, neither does the URL...

https://whois.domaintools.com/52.212.81.15

https://cleantalk.org/blacklists/52.212.81.15

Maybe we need to move this to blocked website forum, lets wait and see what @AdvancedSetup thinks...

Chrome bookmarks can be saved by exporting to a folder of your choice and importing back from that saved folder, have a look at the following link..

Apologies for my sporadic responses, I have personal issues taking up most of my time..

Thank you,

Kevin..

Hi again @Mickey123

Okay, since Kevin is having some issues I'll go ahead and continue for him.

Let's go ahead and try some other scans just to make sure, but ultimately this will probably still boil down to you needing to reset your browsers back to default which means all saved passwords will be lost. Please do not change passwords at this point unless you have another computer that is clean where you can make the password change.

Please run the following steps and post back the logs as an attachment when ready.

STEP 01

  • If you're already running Malwarebytes 3 then open Malwarebytes and check for updates. Then click on the Scan tab and select Threat Scan and click on Start Scan button.
  • If you don't have Malwarebytes 3 installed yet please download it from here and install it.
  • Once installed then open Malwarebytes and check for updates. Then click on the Scan tab and select Threat Scan and click on Start Scan button.
  • Once the scan is completed click on the Export Summary button and save the file as a Text file to your desktop or other location you can find, and attach that log on your next reply.
  • If Malwarebytes won't run then please skip to the next step and let me know on your next reply.

STEP 02

Please download AdwCleaner by Malwarebytes and save the file to your Desktop.

  • Right-click on the program and select RunAsAdmin.jpg Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Accept the Terms of use.
  • Wait until the database is updated.
  • Click Scan Now.
  • When finished, please click Clean & Repair.
  • Your PC should reboot now if any items were found.
  • After reboot, a log file will be opened. Copy its content into your next reply.

RESTART THE COMPUTER Before running Step 3

STEP 03
Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). If you've, run the tool before you need to place a checkmark here.
  • Please attach the Additions.txt log to your reply as well.

Thanks

Ron

I don't think you need to format. Thousands of people are infected and cleaned up around the World every month. Yes, it does take time and effort to clean. Formatting is a drastic measure and if changes are not made you can eventually end up right back in the same place again.

We're trying to assist you - so please be patient and help us to help you.

Thanks

Ron

Okay, great. That is certainly a great way to stay protected. I will go ahead then and leave you with some information to help keep your system and your privacy protected going forward.

If you're not backing up your data and you're still using Google Chrome then you're just not serious about Privacy, Safety, and protecting your data. Malwarebytes is a fantastic program but you still need to back up your data and you still need to block scripts and Ads in your browser.
If you're still using Google Chrome I would highly suggest you consider using Firefox instead. For more advanced users you might consider installing NoScript as well (it does have a higher learning curve though)

1. Please be careful and always keep a Master backup. If something goes wrong and you break something but don't realize it for a month then the change will be in your backup too.
2. The browser itself is safe. It's the largest marketing company in the World behind it, and has put in place hundreds of routines to track and manipulate your online experience.

3. Will do
4. Yes, it is an excellent program but can be difficult even for technically proficient users. There are videos on YouTube that help you to learn and train NoScript
5. There is Adblock and AdBlock Plus - Adblock has a bad reputation. The same for uBlock and uBlock Origin the uBlock has a bad reputation uBlock Origin does not.   https://amp.thehackernews.com/thn/2019/09/browser-chrome-extension-adblock.html

There is a ton of information I posted above which will take a lot of time to read, but as you have time I do encourage you to learn more about your computer and your privacy. In the long run it will be well worth the time taken now to help you out for many years to come.

Ron
