Untangle integration

Recommended Posts

Hello.. I have a HOME subscription of Untangle (I am not a business) and it offers Malwarebytes integration. I am also a paid subscriber of the home version of Malwarebytes. Can I use this for my Untangle router also? If not, is there a "Home version" of the Malwarebytes solution that I can use with Untangle.

Thank you in advance

Greetings,

Unfortunately the integrated version of Malwarebytes that works with Untangle is the Malwarebytes Cloud Platform which is part of Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection which is exclusively a business product so you'd have to purchase business licensing to be able to use it.  The consumer version doesn't include the cloud management console used in the business products as it is a separate application.

That said, as an Untangle subscriber they may provide a way to access it so I would definitely recommend checking with them if you haven't already, otherwise if you're still interested you may refer to the pricing which is available here or enquire with the Malwarebytes Sales team via the form on this page to determine what solution would best suit your environment and learn what pricing options are available.

The response I received was: "Unfortunately, we do not integrate with the consumer version of Malwarebytes at this time.  It is a cloud to cloud integration."

Which of course really wasn't the answer to the question I asked. Having said that, I am assuming that if they offered a "home version" discount they would have told me about it.

I can only hope that in the future home users can be given access to router level protection. Limit it to 25 devices or something if there is a concern of corporate abuse.

Thank you

I'm sorry to hear about that. You might be able to upgrade to the Business version of MalwareBytes, but you'd need to be protecting at least ten devices for that if I understand correctly (for instance, protecting a relative's devices). And from what I understand, it's also fairly expensive, so you'd probably want to split the cost with somebody else. I'll have to ask around.
