adwcleaner stops working

Hello,

It would be very helpful if you could send us the debug file. You can enable the debug mode from settings -> Mode. This will create "AdwCleaner_Debug.txt"  file in C:\AdwCleaner\Logs.

Please, enable the debug mode, try to scan again and, if it fails, send us the debug file. You can share it here or PM me.

Thank you!

The following logs would likely prove useful as they provide a good picture of what's on the system as well as the condition of many core OS components as well as third party security components and can also help determine if there is an infection present which might be causing the issue:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced Options on the main page (not Get Started)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

OK, thanks, please try running the special build of Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit found in this topic according to the instructions found there and have it remove any threats if it finds them and reboot if prompted to do so to complete the threat removal process.  If it doesn't work in normal mode, then please try running it from Safe Mode with Networking.  Also, if you haven't already, please try downloading and running Malwarebytes 3 from here.

Please let us know how it goes, and if any threats are found by either scan, please attach the scan logs or copy/paste them into your reply.

@fr33tux, @Elisabeth can you guys also take a look and assist in case it's a bug or unknown compatibility issue?

Thanks
