Edge Extension?

Is the Malwarebytes extension for Edge also planned?

Not that I am aware of, but that said, according to some quick research I did, apparently porting Chromium/Mozilla compatible plugins to Edge is supposed to be really easy so perhaps it is possible that Edge will be supported in the future.

I will suggest it to the Product team for consideration, including this information from Microsoft as well as Microsoft's browser extension support policy, which Malwarebytes should be considered acceptable according to this:

Supported mechanisms for software that extends or modifies Microsoft Edge

Network traffic modification

Some software modifies the content shown in browsers and other apps by modifying the network traffic, via various mechanisms including, but not limited to, Proxy installation or DNS changes.

This form of traffic modification is generally unsupported except for specific activities: setting up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) or filtering web content (e.g. the removal of unwanted advertising, unsafe, or objectionable content).

Edge extension is under review by Microsoft, process is taking longer then expected.

there will be an announcement for Edge when available.

It's almost 2020. Will Microsoft accept Malwarebytes for Edge? Must we return to Firefox or Chrome?

Just as an FYI... you can install the extension in the new Edge Chromium browser which is in beta testing.  Just open Edge Chromium, go to the Chrome web store and install it from there just like you would install it into Chrome.  I did this several months ago and it is working just fine.

Edge is now moving to Chromium based browser, we will have our extension listed on Microsoft store. 

It is in the roadmap.
