FloppyDonut Posted January 31, 2016 ID:1016649 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I am thinking about getting Qihoo 360 Total Security Essential [sic]. But, because it is chinese, I am a bit weary about it. I would like to know wether you can trust it or not. I do not want people saying that you can't trust it because it is chinese or that you can because you talked to a Qihoo employee.
Buddel Posted January 31, 2016 ID:1016650 Share Posted January 31, 2016 There are people who use and like it (I'm not one of them, though. Not because it's a Chinese app, no, not at all, but I'm currently using another Security Suite). Just give it a try and decide for yourself if it is a keeper or not. FloppyDonut Posted January 31, 2016 Author ID:1016679 Share Posted January 31, 2016 I have tried it & I do not like it. Does anyone know of a good free antivirus that has a high detection rate. I will not take any suggestions saying anything about COMODO because I will not use any of their products.

FloppyDonut Posted January 31, 2016 Author ID:1016727 Share Posted January 31, 2016 By the way, @Buddel, what security suite do you use? Just wondering, thats all.
Aura Posted January 31, 2016 ID:1016732 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Personally, I wouldn't use any Qihoo 360 programs, since they recently got blacklisted from the three major Antivirus testing labs for using deceptive methods in their products to increase their efficiency during benchmark tests. You can read the article below for more information. https://www.av-test.org/fileadmin/pdf/VB-AVC-AVT-press-release.pdf Just that would be enough to go with another Antivirus product if you ask me. Also, since this is Malwarebytes forums, do not except recommendations from Staff (should apply to members as well) on what Antivirus product you should use. Just wondering, thats all.I'm currently using Kaspersky Internet Security 2016. This is not meant to be a recommendation; it's simply my personal choice.
