  1. Hello everyone, I am a long time user of MalwareBytes Free and believe it good practice to run a good AV and Malware tools as standard PC security. I am raising this query because i have seen anomalies over a long time (over a year) and am now thinking it could be the security products. I run the latest Avast Free AV and Malware Bytes free along with Hotspot shield free VPN. i regularly do Avast boot time scans and Malware Bytes HDD scans in windows. After these scans occasionally i see odd issues ranging from file associations reverting back, occasional application reinstalls and
  2. Hello. My name is Ane Mari Tache from the Innovative Solutions Grup. We are the developers of the Orange Defender PRO program. It seems that your AV program Malwarebytes is flagging our program as PUP.Optional.OrangeDefender on VirusTotal. As a software developer I can strongly and sincerely vouch that the files bellow don't contain any malware or PUP files. I have worked on these products, and know with 100% certainty that they don't contain malware. Please either whitelist our products or tell us, in detail, why they are considered malware. We would gladly cooperate with you in ord
  3. I have Malwarebytes Premium Antivirus. Armed with this, do I need any other Antivirus Software on my Laptop i.e. Avast Free Antivirus? Thank you Purrington
  4. Hi, I'm on Windows 10. I noticed today that my Kaspersky Total Security software basically disappeared. This might have happen days, weeks ago, I only noticed today. But that's not all as I also have the an empty Windows Defender Security At a Glance Menu, I can't reinstall Kaspersky (I can download the set up, but when I run it then the process is blocked, can't download). I have tried to install other antiviruses, all are blocked and can't install. I managed to install Malwarebytes Antimalwares, AdwCleaner, Antirootkit, Spybot, and run them. They remove some stuff, but still
  5. My headsets stopped working when i removed a malware from my PC. I clicked on restart via malwarebytes for the removal process to be finished and then my PC frose on the blue screen where it says restarting and then i turned the PC off and turned it on again. But once i did my PC had remove my headsets software drive and also out of nowhere my device driver was not working properly and the troubleshooter didn't detect anything. I need help pls someone help me and also this happend to my gaming headset directly after the restart and also now i have no malware left or any threat or virus but i w
  6. Hi, I have Norton Security installed and running on my computer. Can I have Malwarebytes simultaneously runing on the same PC? Do you consider that this is a good idea? Because I am not an expert on cybersecurity, I would like to know your oppinion. Do both programs working together cover more harmfull cases than only one?' Maybe it is a bad idea? or Maybe not? Thank you very much in advance!😉
  7. Hi! We currently have the Kaspersky Endpoint Security and MalwareBytes Endpoint Security installed an 100 PC. Just bought the MB ENDPOINT PROTECTION AND RESPONSE and plan to migrare all users as soon as I learn the basics. My question is, Do you think is safe to keep only MalwareBytes and not an Antivirus software? Sales representative said is OK but would like your opinion. I don't see the ANTI-RANSOMWARE module to be installed so I understand is not needed with this version. Thanks in advance!!! Best Regards
  8. Hi, AFAIK, conventional wisdom used to say that a computer should only use one antivirus software, because it might interfere with another. Does this still hold true? I'm thinking about subscribing to Malwarebytes Premium. Thanks, mac b
  9. Hi there! Throughout the past few months, I've had problems running my Win7 Professional 64-bit PC rig properly. The problem showed as intermittent freezing of the whole operating system every now and then, let's say once in an hour or so, for around 5-15 min at a time. Meaning; I can't click on anything from the task bar, the mouse cursor turns into the spinning circle (as in; waiting, waiting ...); everything that I click on or type is stored in some kind of a buffer that then gets "released" after the clog re-opens. I am running ESET Internet Security 2018 (the latest version; 12.
  10. Hello, I come here to ask about my problem and what type of fix could I get. To start with, I'm currently running Windows 7 In an HP laptop with the safe mode. The issue started a couple weeks ago where I started to notice my pc was acting strangely, I downloaded Avast's free antivirus to try and fix the problem with a full scan. The problem was gone for like an hour then it came back again. I started to notice also that my pc, whenever I started it, had the automatic antivirus protection option disabled and I had to manually enable it, the pc started to run very slowly and the last c
  11. Hi, I currently have a valid license for malwarebytes for mac 3.0 and wanted to know if just having malwarebytes for mac 3.0 premium is enough to take care of all the security needs of a mac, or should i look for other antivirus to complement ? Does malwarebytes protect against phishing, malware url links and infected webpages or is it just an antivirus for mac , does it also include a firewall component?
  12. Is Malwarebytes Premium an antivirus aswell? Do I require a separate antivirus?
  13. Hi, i'm going to do a windows clean install and i have already analiced my pc with my antivirus and with malwarebytes, i have also used a couple of cleaners. malwarebytes found a couple o malwares but i have already removed they. ir order to be completely sure that there aren't any malware in my computer i was thinking in use a bootable antivirus (i think that a low level format will be to much time for the hdd of 1 tb, how much time do you think that it will need? its a good idea to do it?) i have never had a really bad malware in my computer and i have used antivirus from the first day
  14. This is probably a stupid question but I'll ask. I just bought a Dell laptop and have only had it a week or so. Have had nothing but problems with it and Dell keeps telling me it's because of Malwarebytes. I've had Malwarebytes Premium for years and love it. The new laptop had the free trial version of McAfee and I had Dell remove it. They say your not suppose to have more than one anti-virus in Windows 10. I didn't think Malwarebytes was an antivirus only for malware. Has anyone else had this issue? I want to install a free antivirus but I'm not sure which one and afraid to try anythi
  15. If someone can offer some helpful advice i would greatly appreciate it. I own paid subsricptions to McAfee, Webroot, Bitdefender, Malwarebytes 3, and now ESET, and all since October of 2017. Something is not right. Period. My computer keeps telling me its fine but after what ive been through i dont trust or believe it. I'll try to make this short but its difficult and this is was i believe to be true to my heart and its gonna sound crazy but idc at this point. So on Oct 7,2017 i got into bitcoin. I used Bittrex as my exchange. Well like 3 weeks later I found out that i was a victim of a p
  16. Do I need to keep these other apps? With the addition of the Malwarebytes..
  17. Hi everyone! This is only my second post ever on this forum, and I am not very experienced when it comes to antiviruses and antimalware. My question is, is Malwarebytes Free (for me, it is version 3.3.1) good enough to protect my computer on its own? Should I upgrade to premium or download another antivirus?
  18. Malwarebytes Endpoint security, on its webpage, says that antivirus protection is made obsolete. Is that so? We have w7 pcs. Can we really delete our antivirus programs when we add Endpoint Premium? Thank you.
  19. Hi Guys, can I use mb3 on my IPhone 6 or has the phone already got built in protection.
  20. Wondering if Malwarebytes for Mac 3.0 scans external hard disks. I've heard that antivirus programs should not be allowed to scan external hard drives, since they can break the links in Time Machine that record changes. Thank you!
  21. Someone recently who works in the computer industry as a programmer told me that antiviruses aren't really needed and he thought they were a waste of space for users who know what they're doing. He added that all they do is take processing power and that if a virus is going to infect you it will do so without the AV doing anything. I just want to raise this point because I am considering removing my Avast subscription and if it actually would be ok to do so. Before launching any suspicious files I test them in various online/local sandboxes to ensure they do not infect my system sinc
  22. Surprisingly Malwarebytes does not answer EICAR TEST. Why is it so. Is it inefficient
  23. Three weeks left until MBAM 2.2.1.1043 gets its support cut and like I said before, I am not upgrading to the new version in case I run into problems again. I can just go ahead and keep the old version even when it reaches its End Of Life but right now I'm feeling paranoid of it just being unsupported and therefore not get any new definition updates. If that's going to be the case, then I would like to know any good-enough alternatives to it, even ones that provide real-time protection which has been a life-saver to me many times, and I would to thank MBAM for that. The only ones I know of are
  24. Is it possible to install another antivirus to the system? Even i'm using bit defender product for my PC that defends from all types of threat and gives efficient protection.
  25. picked up some virus, tried running malwarebytes, but would say "resources are already being used", pretty close to that. Same thing with Chameleon and installing avg. Windows Defenders can run but does not pick up anything. In task mgr under startup, svcvmx.exe has 9 programs running and can not disable. How can I get rid of this. Thanks
