  1. Hi, I desperately need help here. I am using Malwarebytes Premium installed on Windows 10 build 1809. Somehow this malware got through and it has been very persistent. Malwarebytes scans do not detect it and even after a system reset, it comes back. I notice that there are folders that should not be there and suspect that the virus has created a virtual drive from which to launch a fake copy of my windows system. The reason why I suspect I am infected is that everytime I click on an application file. I get a pop up with Chinese characters. So far it has been a irritant because it seems to
  2. What is MyMacro? The Malwarebytes research team has determined that MyMacro is adware. These adware applications display advertisements not originating from the sites you are browsing. How do I know if my computer is affected by MyMacro? You may see this warning during install: and this type of advertisements: How did MyMacro get on my computer? Adware applications use different methods for distributing themselves. This particular one was installed by a bundler. How do I remove MyMacro? Our program Malwarebytes can detect and remove
  3. I am thinking about getting Qihoo 360 Total Security Essential [sic]. But, because it is chinese, I am a bit weary about it. I would like to know wether you can trust it or not. I do not want people saying that you can't trust it because it is chinese or that you can because you talked to a Qihoo employee.

My little brother downloaded something on my computer and i tried malwarebytes to remove the adware, it detected about 450 objects but the adware is still on my computer Some of it is in chinese, and the other ad asks me to update adobe flash player but it wont update it, it's a virus (and it pops a lot) However it slowed down after deleting something in task manager even though it still pops up
  5. I thought I'd post a follow-up to this discussion, since the thread was locked: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=104840&st=0 Basically a bunch of MB users were wondering who/what Anvisoft was, and whether it was legit. I did a bit more digging. http://krebsonsecurity.com/2012/11/infamous-hacker-heading-chinese-antivirus-firm/ Thanks for the inspiration.
  6. First off, I really appreciate the help, don't think (know) this would be a big problem but I don't feel confident with this malware on my PC. I started getting these annoying pop up ads for some Chinese role-playing game at the lower bottom right corner of my screen when i try to connect to websites (not just Chinese ones, so I realized that there was something on my PC). The pop ups come with sound (how nice). I installed Malwarebytes Anti Malware and activated the full version trial then ran a scan. Found and quarantined "PUP.TollbarDownloader" in an exe file I had downloaded (and I guess e
