Recommended Posts

Hi,

One of our customers is having an issue with his Malwarebytes.

We get this error daily:

Followed by:

I allready removed Malwarebytes, rebooted the computer and reinstalled the latest Malwarebytes.

After the reboot and reinstall Malwarebytes seems to work just fine but after a couple of hours we get the errors again.

We are using: v 2.0.2.1012:

It was not able to find the database update.

Please try a clean removal and reinstall and see if that corrects the issue. If not please post the logs requested.

  1. Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version. MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
  2. If that does not correct the issue then please read the following and post back the requested logs. - Diagnostic Logs
  3. NOTE: There is an FAQ section with valuable information located here: - Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions

Thank You

Hello:

Thanks for the logs.

Until AdvancedSetup returns to formally review your logs, you didn't say whether you tried the clean reinstall procedure?
(Your mbam-check log shows an install date of 8/26/2014, so I assume that you did?)

In any event, the logs show at least some minor PUPs and other junkware.
You might want to get some free help with cleaning this computer, as a first step.

As your post suggests that you are a business, your MBAM Business license entitles you to free, one-on-one support from the Business help desk.
You may open a ticket at this link: http://www.malwarebytes.org/support/business/contact/

Otherwise, I suggest that you please follow the advice in this pinned topic: Available Assistance For Possibly Infected Computers.
It explains the options for free, expert help, AND the preliminary steps to take to expedite the process.
A malware analyst will guide you through the cleanup process.

Thanks,

As already mentioned by daledoc1 your logs show that you are infected, lets get that cleaned up first and if after that it does not resolve your issue, we can go from there, but we need to get the system cleaned up first....

Being that you are probably infected, feel free to follow the instructions below to receive free, one-on-one expert assistance in checking your system and clearing out any infections and correcting any damage done by the malware.

Please see the following pinned topic which has information on how to get help with this: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

Thank you
