Stopping the Malicious Website Blocked pop up

Recommended Posts

I like the fact that you guys are blocking malicious websites and do not want to stop this. However, I really do not need to see a pop up every few seconds telling me that a site on Utorrent is being blocked. I accept that is happening and don't care about the messages. I don't want to stop Utorrent being monitored but do want to stop these pop ups.

Can you help?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi, @wendivad:

Welcome.

Alas, currently, in version 2, notifications are "all or none".

So, as pondus mentioned, you can turn them off by disabling them in the settings window.

However, doing so will disable ALL notifications (including outdated databases, malware/non-malware detections, etc).

Those notifications are there for a reason: to provide the user with important information about the system and about MBAM, doing its job.

So, it may not be a good idea to disable them.

The development team has promised enhancements to the user's ability to control notification on a more specific/granular level with a future release of the program.

Thanks,

Ok. This isn't working for me. I disabled notifications.I also have "three seconds" for display notifications (and disabled context menu). I still get notifications for PUP or some other threat found after an automatic scan. It also just stays there and does not go away after three seconds.

How do I:

Get to a situation where protection is active but I never get ANY notification EVER. I used to love Malwarebytes because of the fact that it was doing its work automatically without me being bothered by it. So how can I go back to that with this latest version? Is this possible? If not, do you know of a different program that offers protection without these annoyances. I miss the old Malwarebytes.

Thanks.

Hi, and :welcome: , sae233:

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Each computer is unique.

Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.

The same is true for solutions.

They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".

Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the cjfj.png button.

The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running.

Thanks for your patience and understanding,
