outgoing alert everytime i open internet explorer

hi over the last few days,evrytime i open internet explorer i get the bubble saying access to a malicious site has been blocked..outgoing...and gives an ip

address.do i have anything to worry about ? and how do i stop it ?

Hello and welcome, Geddy1961:

IP blocks can mean MBAM is doing its job, by blocking bad content on websites, or it could be "normal" if you are running Skype or certain types of P2P programs.

Rarely, it can be a false positive.

Sometimes, however, it can indicate that you might be infected, especially if you see outgoing blocks when you do not have an open browser.

After reading that topic, if you think you might be infected, please follow the recommendations here: Available Assistance for Possibly Infected Computers

An expert will assist you with checking/cleaning your system.

Its also possible that your IE home page was hijacked and opens to an IP that is blocked. Go directly to the address of your preferred home page and reset it to that page.

i am still getting outgoing blocked potenially malicious sites,,giving an ip adress whe i open internet explorer

i changed my homepage.and yet it still happens

any idea how to stop this happening ?

The IP blocks can be a sign of infection.
