Hi,
Just for info :
I'm using MB Premium 3.2.2.2029-1.0.212 and just upgraded Win 10 1703 Build 15063.674 to Win 10 1709 Build 16299.15 (Fall Creators Update) per inplace upgrade without any problem.
I didn't uninstall MB prior to the upgrade and now too, MB is running well along Windows Defender (I left the default settings for the "new" exploit protection included to WD).
'Hope it continues like that ...

Installed over previous latest version without problems; did a restart even if it was not asked for.
All settings perfectly retained, no issue up to now.
This new version did even resolve a pending issue :
A BIG thank to the developers !
(Win10 1703 Build 15063.250)

Good news : the issue is resolved with MB 3.1.0.1716. When coming back from safe mode, all protections are now enabled.

Perhaps more infos for you here :

From my first post : " This applies to Malwarebytes and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware user guides. "
HTML user guides are now OK for Malwarebytes but not for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware ...
-
Excellent @gonzo, thank you !
I'll have a look at it in the next days ...

Thanks @Firefox for this suggestion; didn't think about doing that ...
One "practical" question : may I post in the section you advised with a link to the present topic (as I already attached screenshot & logs) ?
-
Good suggestion but read this : https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/192172-save-settings-to-a-ini-file/

Thanks for your time @dcollins; I'll do that for the time being ...

In addition to my previous post : once DriverMax is installed, it opens and works normally (with exploit protection reactivated).
-
Hi,
I've added DriverMax to the protected applications in the Exploit Protection module (MB 3.0.6.1469 CU4-1.0.96 - Win10 1607 Build 14393.970).
Each time I update this software, MB blocks the end of the installation : after the window shown in the screenshot, the main GUI of DMax is supposed to open.
If I disable the protection for DMax prior to the update, installation ends without problem.
Requested logs are attached.
Thank you.

Well, I could contact the developer as this is the info page for one of his softwares and I'm using one of his other products.
I can indicate him the link of the concerned page on his site as well as the link of this thread.
What do you think ?

Hi,
Just this one page of a site is blocked (see attachment).
Thanks for your time !
-
Alright; again, wanted to be sure ...
Thank you, Telos .
-
Excellent (seemed logical to me but I wanted to be sure) .
I still have another question : in this same list, I have deactivated all the pre-configured applications that I don't use (programs not installed).
Am I doing this right ?
-
Thanks to both of you. From now on, I'll deactivate the license to be safe.
-
Well, Telos, this does absolutely not answer my questions ...
(Cyberfox is already listed under the pre-configured applications when MB is installed, so I don't I have to add it but I have to add SRWare Iron manually)..
In other words :
- MF is protected by default with add-ons (so it shows up in the protected applications list)
- CF is listed alone, no mention of add-ons ---> are these also protected ?
- GC is protected by default with plugins (so it shows up in the protected applications list)
- SI (added) is listed alone, no mention of plugins ---> are these also protected ?

@throkr It is always best, IMO, if you deactivate it only to avoid issues later on where you may get an error that your license has been used too many times...
I agree : that's an excellent reason to deactivate it every time. Plus, in the meanwhile, I consulted this topic where it is clearly recommended.
Thanks for your advice, Firefox !

... Deactivate your License ...
Hi,
Even if I'm re-installing on the same computer with the same OS ? Or is this just a temporarily advice till the actual issues are worked out (like Porthos mentioned it in post # 2) ?
-
That's the latest official stable release.
Thanks for the infos.
Glad to hear that everything is working fine for you !
-
Mozilla Firefox is listed under the pre-configured applications with add-ons; Is Cyberfox protected the same way with his add-ons (is not mentioned) ?
Google Chrome is listed under the pre-configured applications with plugins; I added SRWare Iron (Chromium based too) to the list; will it also be protected with plugins ?
Thank you.

Thank you celee and Firefox.

Hi,
I faced this same issue on one computer. Simply go into MB's settings > application > Windows Notification Center and choose option 2 ("Never register ..."), reboot the computer. Again, go to the same settings and choose option 1 (recommended) and it should work : you should see Windows Defender registered as the AV on your machine.
Hope this helps ...
