Firefox replied to Kernel Krumpet's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I am seeing this on two computers like stated earlier, I tried the procedures as stated by exile... I just updated to Database version: 3494 and it seems to have stableized at the moment at 53,676K on one computer and 53,808 on the second one, I will let you know if it creeps up again in the next few hours. -

618K Memory used as Process...
Firefox replied to Kernel Krumpet's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
@ Excile I tried your fix. I thought I was not affected by this problem at first, but today I checked and on one computer my mbamservice.exe service was up to 667,380K, it steadily grows by about 4,000 every 10 seconds. On the other computer it is currently at 248,968K, although that one does not seem to be growing at the moment. Correction EDIT: The second one was doing a scheduled scan, came up clean, and now that the scan is over it too is growing by 4K every 10 seconds.... -

How about a nice console for us business users
Firefox replied to mrbostn's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
central management for corp users would be great.... maybe it could give helpful info on how many computers have MBAM installed, what version and database version too, that way we could see if any workstation is not getting updated. Also a way to force and update from the console would be good. -
Microsoft says I need to uninstall MWB
Firefox replied to suzq's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
There should be no reason that MWB is causing the issue. But just to let MS know that you are willing to work with them to get your issue solved, go ahead and uninstall it. If that was the cause (more than likely not) then you will be able to install SP2, and after SP2 is installed you can always re-install MWB. Make sure you save you key information before you remove it. To uninstall follow: 1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel. 2. Restart your computer (very important). 3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe 4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to). 5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here. mbam-setup.exe Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray and that you can run a quick scan and all is working as expected. -
