  1. Speaking of poppies, I bought one today and made a donation
  2. Hi southerngirl777, and welcome to Malwarebytes If you feel you are still infected see the instructions below..... Please read the following so that you can begin the cleaning process: As we don't deal with malware removal in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have. Please read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here. After posting your new post, make sure under options, you select Track this topic and choose Immediate Email Notification, so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post. One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available. Please refrain from making any further changes to your computer (Install/Uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc...) unless advised by a malware removal helper. Doing so can result in system changes which may hinder the attempts by a helper to clean your machine. NOTE: Please DO NOT post back to (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours. Replying to your own posts changes the post count and helpers are looking for topics with zero replies. If you reply to your own post helpers may think that you're already being helped and thus overlook your post. If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply to the topic, asking for help again. Or You may send a Private Message to a Moderator or Administrator asking for assistance. Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or here. Please be patient, someone will assist you as soon as it is possible. PS: Please use the "ADDREPLY" button instead of other ones when you start replying.
  3. Apologies for my lateness. Welcome! That's a fantastic thing to win! I hope you are enjoying it!
  4. You mean you use Eset NOD 32? Oh, okay. Well if it happens again, take a screen shot. (print screen, paste into paint as a .jpeg/.jpg). Do you think that you may be infected? Are you experiencing any strange symptoms?
  5. I get poppies whenever I have a chance, when they are selling them, and make as much of a donation as I can.
  6. Bah, rogues. Malwarebytes eats them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  7. hehehe thanks Shy I don't really go to clubs or bars or anything though, but I have been known to forget where I parked... lol
  8. Looks good to me If anyone needs additional information should be you be seeking help in the future, they'll ask you if they can't find the info they need in your signature.
  9. In your post, when posting any questions or concerns in relation to beta testing, or should you have a specific question about your computer (in general such as in the PC Help forum or when using Malwarebytes).
  10. QUESTION: Would you like beta testers to do a full scan when testing, or is the quick scan sufficient?
  11. Hmm. Do you think that you may currently be infected? A Facebook advertisement or malicious link or something could have been flagged by your security software. Do you know which program blocked something (Malwarebytes or your AntiVirus)? You can check the protection logs in Malwarebytes and your antivirus and see if there is any activity from that date. What AntiVirus do you use?
  12. I am not sure if it's any more secure but my guess is that it is. Sumatra PDF reader is a good alternative choice to Adobe Reader. I've been meaning to try it out myself but I haven't yet. More info: http://billpstudios.blogspot.com/2010/04/where-can-i-find-alternate-pdf-viewer.html You'll need to scroll down a ways to view info on Sumatra btw.
  13. I agree. That really infuriates me...
  14. Thank you so very much to Veterans everywhere, your service is very much appreciated.
  15. It's really irritating when the AV program will tell you to remove Mbam upon install... I dunno if McAfee still does this or not. I think TM does this or did in the past anyway. (Please correct me if I am wrong, anyone). When I last used AVG, I do not recall it asking me to remove Mbam, but then again I believe I temporarily disabled AVG when I installed Mbam. I don't believe that KAV does, but I typically temporarily disable KAV anyway when installing MBAM.
  16. You know I was thinking the battery may be it as well. How long was the computer not setup/not plugged in?
  17. I don't really know of one. SpyBot is free and has realtime protection, but these days it doesn't do much good as definitions are only updated once a week last I knew, and the realtime protection tends to run heavy on system resources. It is an option though, if you want it.
  18. Just chiming in here real quick; I don't have permission either in this forum: http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showforum=75 I can, however, reply to Exile's topic.
  19. Thanks for the awesome announcement, Swandog! I can't wait to test it
  20. I think that's fine What OS are you running? Also you should check out HostsMan, I can give you more info later on that Are you currently getting your machine cleaned though? You need to finish that first if you are, before making any changes to your computer!!
  21. Hi Bart, Just try to stay away from apps & games on Facebook, and don't click on strange links/videos and you should be alright. Facebook has it's risks but as long as you're careful you can use Facebook more safely. Of course, things can still happen but being careful lowers the risk. As a side note, please use the "ADD REPLY" button located at the bottom of the page when replying. Thanks
