  4. Hi, Malwarebytes flagged an RTP DETECTION Outbound Connection from C:\Windows\SysWOW64\explorer.exe. Before this I saw activity on my steam account relating to steam community purchases that I didn't make. My account itself doesn't seem to be compromised so my only guess was someone has remote access of my laptop where steam is running. Thus I installed Malwarebytes to do a full scan. The first scan flagged quite a few malwares and Trojans that were installed onto my system32 folder on c drive so I quarantined and deleted them. Now I keep getting this flag everytime I connect my laptop to the internet. Can anyone help me and tell me what to do? Currently running a custom scan on c drive with the toolkit detection on and no internet access to my laptop.

  6. I'm trying to update windows but like before, the following is still stuck at 0% before resulting in the following error.
  7. Thank you for whitelisting. I'm still concerned. I downloaded updates a few minutes ago which included a restart of Malwarebytes. I tried the two installs (D:\Download ISO & Installs\TRichView\TRichViewSetupV22.3.1.exe and D:\Download ISO & Installs\TRichView\TRichViewFMXSetupV22.3.1.exe) again which each failed again, though without moving anything to quarantine. I copied MBAMSERVICE.LOG and briefly reviewed. I see reference to each install and the author's name (Sergei Tkachenko). I have zipped the file for your reference/analysis. My initial suspicion is that some information about these files is cached and therefore the whitelist may not have been checked (or perhaps wasn't in the Malwarebytes update yet). MBAMSERVICE.zip

  11. That log looks pretty good. How is the computer running now? Are there still any signs of infection or any other unresolved issues at this time @Advon0352
  12. Many of those systems are blocked in the Hosts file and ADWcleaner can assist with that with the repair function by choosing to reset the Hosts file amongst other choices. See the in-depth instructions in the following post.
  13. I am aware. I was recommending MBAR for systems where malware blocked Malwarebytes. Ok, thank you. I will no longer recommend it, and instead will point to Malwarebytes' rootkit scanning and offline installer.
  14. You received a reply so I will close this thread.

  20. How do I get a refund on my last autorenewal. I cancelled my subscription.
  21. I am sure you are aware that Malwarebytes can scan for rootkits with the normal program. Free or paid.
