Scheduled scan minimizes full-screen tasks

Recommended Posts

Hello Gman88w,

Schedule the scan to be silent

The attached image has highlighted the option to check, if you are doing a full scan change the drop down to full instead of quick.

However, we do not recommend having any applications running during a scan.

Thank you!

When selecting that option, the option "Terminate program when scan completes successfully" is automatically selected. Does this option shut down Anti-Malware entirely, or does it just prevent the pop-up box that says "Scan has completed successfully" from appearing?

It just closes the scanner, the protection module still keeps running. To check the results of the scan you can open Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware whenever you choose and access the log by clicking on the Logs tab.

Also note that silent scans will not notify you if a threat was found, but if it was, the threat will show up in your log from the scan. If something was found, I would recommend running a Quick Scan manually and removing whatever is detected.
