al b back Posted October 11, 2010 ID:325667 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Hi, I hope this is the right area for this. A friend brought me a laptop that was having pop up issues. I investigated and found alot of missing patches and toolbars galore so i cleaned house from add/remove programs. The problems have stopped but now on log in windows tells me it can,t find two DLL files (gudadamu.dll, gumolefe.dll)I would like to know if these are actual Windows file or if they were from the trouble maker. Thanks in advance for any help and GOD Bless

al b back Posted October 11, 2010 Author ID:325699 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I searched for them both but nothing was returned but then I searched for what I thought might be the culprit when I started this(figured it was something I disabled) and sure enough dealio toolbar came back as being an unfriendly. I've ran a few scans and tried multiple restarts and everything seems to be going good now. I really want to say thanks for the assist and ill be adding virustotal.com and malwarebytes to my arsenal. al b back Posted October 11, 2010 Author ID:325703 Share Posted October 11, 2010 I'm not able to scan the actual files any longer I belive they were deleted before my original post but there was still a startup entry for them and windows couldn't find them to start them. but once they were removed from the start up list it quit trying. I imagine I'll run up against this duo again and when I do I will run them through first so I can post the info for future issues. Thanks again
