setting up comodo

can some one tell me how to add Mbam to exclude it from comodo? Thanks for help in advance

First off are you using the whole suite not just the firewall,but everything? Or do you mean to the defense or firewall?

also do you think comodo is a good AV? and having Mbam pro be a good combo to keep my laptop clean of infection or would you recommend a different AV?

The av is pretty good now. I would stick with it. For adding exclusions you need to click on the antivirus tab and scanner settings. You should see a tab called Exclusions or something similar. Adding many files without opening a new window is easy. Just click add then select the one you want, click the right arrow then repeat that for additional files. When your all done click OK. If you have any questions just post again.

also i have added the mbam.exe/mbamgui.exe/mbamservices.exe to my exclusions list while that be okay or do i need to add other mbam things to that list for example the drivers and so on ?

That should really help.

On your last post, it wouldn't hurt to add Malwarebytes to your own safe files under the defense tab. That will help avoid conflicts with Comodo's HIPS(Defense+).

Other then that your running a decent setup. You might consider adding Spybot Search & Destroy and SpywareBlaster. Spybot's immunization and SpywareBlaster will help threats from getting in the first place. If you are using Vista/7 you should disable User Account Control and reboot before installing Spybot. UAC(User Account Control) tends to block immunization and Security Center integration. Make sure to turn on after installing. 2nd you should right click Spybot's main program under start menu and click properties and compatibility. After set the check box to run as administrator. Same goes for the Secure Shredder. This will help allow immunization to fully work as well as deleting some files via the shredder.

P.S. User Account Control can be found under User Accounts in the control panel.

also in comodos denfense+ is my trused software vendors and malwarebytes corp is already in there so it will not get conflict issues as its put of there white listing if you understand what i mean

Back ground checks aren't easy to do. Slip ups are common as they often do spoofing.

Yes but unfortunately they have a shady history, check out the blog entries in the second link that YoKenny1 posted.

In MY personal opinion, they've already tainted themselves and don't seem like they are cleaning up their act none too quickly
