Windows Media Player fault ??

Lately I have been getting this error message when I try to play any small downloaded video item -

"To use Windows Media Player , Log Back On and Then Start Windows Media Player" -----------

So I log off , Wait 10 mins - Log back on , and still get the same message - After several times this gets boring so I just place the items in My Docs and hope I can play them later - I first check that the item is Unblocked and then save to Documents - All items are checked with MBAM and MSE first -

Not sure, but some places to look.

Maybe in Control Panel, "Turn Windows features on or off" then remove Media Player, reboot the computer, then go back in and re-enable it again.
