Hi

I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials along with Windows Firewall. Are there any compatibility issues if I add the free version of Malwarebytes? Do I have to enter any exclusions?

With the free version there should be no need to add any exclusions for Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware when using MSE, however, should you end up purchasing the Pro version then you should exclude its files from MSE as detailed in this guide

I've the exact setup on XP SP3 and XP x64 SP3..... paid and free MBAM.... so far so good without adding exclusions.

Most of the expert helpers will advice you to add the exclusions just in case.

Just have the freeze problem after updating XP recently and no problem after adding exclusions in MSE.

I have Essentials and Mbam Pro running on an XP pc and no issues at all.

The PC was OK until recently after running XP latest updates. It will freeze after XP complains about MSE not active during booting up. Hard reboot several times might be able to boot it up.... but no problem at after following exile360's advice.
