Toms94 Posted February 25, 2010 ID:205758 Share Posted February 25, 2010 I received a computer with XP home to clean up. I logged in as administrator in "safe mode" installed MBam. During the install I got this:Visual C++ Runtime LibraryProgram C:\.......malwarebytes....mbam.exeThis application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual wayPlease contact application support team ......I then changed the name of the exe to MB but got the same runtime error, with only the name change of the exe file. We are running AVG free 8.5 and Windows firewall. What's my next step? I have not tried an earlier restore point yet. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have now started the computer in normal mode and I am currently running a quick scan, so far nothing.It came up with no items. And seems to be running fine.
