David H. Lipman Posted June 9, 2023 ID:1571624 Share Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) I was looking at a new 1Free Wheeler last year. ~$34K 1. So I could mount my surf rod which is 12' long. Edited June 9, 2023 by David H. Lipman
NewTricks Posted June 9, 2023 Author ID:1571626 Share Posted June 9, 2023 Yikes! I will stop thinking about Harleys now. I am clueless about surf rods, so had to look it up. That's significant. Carrying your bike inside and finding a place for that rod- Feng shui, here you come.

NewTricks Posted June 11, 2023 Author ID:1571905 Share Posted June 11, 2023 After thought from my travels-phlox, phlox, phlox! There had to be a reason, and there is. It's an invasive species. A life lesson: even harmful things look pretty.
NewTricks Posted June 12, 2023 Author ID:1572064 Share Posted June 12, 2023 Lovely, rainy, wet spring is winding down in the Finger Lakes. Here's a nod to image enhancement with negligible magnification. A note to those who've encouraged me to get up, go out and capture the season, thank you 🌱
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 12, 2023 Root Admin ID:1572075 Share Posted June 12, 2023 Great job again. We live in the industrial concrete jungle so not a lot of open land with such plant life as you have there. Hope you're enjoying yourself.
NewTricks Posted June 12, 2023 Author ID:1572076 Share Posted June 12, 2023 I'm sad to hear where you live-pockets can be found there, but it requires real effort to find them. This has been a surprise all around, I've gone from virtually housebound to anticipation for adventures like I used to have (before March 2020). My Panasonic Lumix wasn't used since last August (I date my battery charges!) and the LG sat glutted with 400 shots dating back to Christmas 2022. Put on my organizing cap as a result of reading about your TB storage, purged, put in albums, moved to the PC and started FRESH! Unofficially, it takes 6 weeks to form a habit. So, now, it's set. Whether I post or not, I'm getting wet at the shore, tromping through woodland, making a pest of myself in cultivated beds and in general feeling that satisfaction when I get it just right. Finally learned IrfanView after 8 years of it laying dormant. So proud of myself for that.
David H. Lipman Posted June 12, 2023 ID:1572078 Share Posted June 12, 2023 From Cocoon forth a Butterfly As Lady from her Door Emerged—a Summer Afternoon— Repairing Everywhere— Without Design—that I could trace Except to stray abroad On Miscellaneous Enterprise The Clovers—understood— Her pretty Parasol be seen Contracting in a Field Where Men made Hay— Then struggling hard With an opposing Cloud— Where Parties—Phantom as Herself— To Nowhere—seemed to go In purposeless Circumference— As 'twere a Tropic Show— And notwithstanding Bee—that worked— And Flower—that zealous blew— This Audience of Idleness Disdained them, from the Sky— Till Sundown crept—a steady Tide— And Men that made the Hay— And Afternoon—and Butterfly— Extinguished—in the Sea— Emily Dickinson

NewTricks Posted June 13, 2023 Author ID:1572264 Share Posted June 13, 2023 Last week, I stopped at the Oneonta City Reservoir, Wilbur Lake. I made my way through dense brush, tangled vines and fallen trees to see this up close. Restrictions in place: no boats, wading, swimming or camping. Pristine.

NewTricks Posted June 13, 2023 Author ID:1572292 Share Posted June 13, 2023 (edited) I really love the rural lifestyle for SO many reasons, clothes are a the top of the list. Scenery comes next. Lived in cities or suburbs all my life and just waited to "exhale". (NO, not that kind!) Still some habits remain. My earrings have to match the shirt, jacket or HAT!
