AdwCleaner 8.0.4 will not run on Windows 8.1 or 10

AdwCleaner 8.0.4 will not run on Windows 8.1 or 10.  UAC requests permission to continue and then silence but it works fine on Windows 7.

After attempting to run AdwCleaner 8.0.4 with either Windows 8.1 or 10, no UI is seen and there is no relevant logfile to be found in C:\AdwCleaner\Logs.

On Windows 10 1809 LTSC works regularly both as an update and after deleting everything created by the previous version

Not for me it doesn't.  It won't even show up in TaskManager.

It is hard to tell why you are having issues and others are not with out the logs from post #2. Please run the tool and attach the resulting zip file.

@MAXBAR1 I believe the user is only having issues with Windows 8.1 not with Windows 10 which I believe you're running correct?
